Sobre mimThis account is run by Books Matter, a non-profit located in Toronto. We send donated books to Ghana and pay for shipping with donations made to our website. We are grateful to Tim and member of LT for your generous support.

Sobre a minha bibliotecaAgbedeafor Roman Catholic School is located in Keta, in the Volta Region of Ghana with a student population of over 200, ranging from primary to junior high. The school is committed to empowering children through literacy programs and has in the past opened the school up on weekends for extra reading time. However, the school has very limited books and as a result the literacy programs have not been very successful.

They have a recently completed library and IT room, provided to the school by the education service of the Ghana government. The school now has 30 laptops to be used for computer classes, extra desks for studying, and book shelves (but with NO library books). The books you see pictured are textbooks - previously the school had very few textbooks to be shared among the entire school.

This school is very excited to be partnering with Books Matter in order to further grow the resources available to their students! Our book donation arrived in June 2015.
