Acerca da Minha Biblioteca
Almost all of books I've read in my life have been fiction. I'm just now breaking the fiction trend and journeying into the realm of nonfiction. I don't intend to stop reading fiction; I just want to start reading MORE nonfiction because I feel there are many interesting topics waiting for me to explore in this area. It's about time I diversify my reading.

Since I'm a history major and history is a subject I've become quite passionate about, I've begun compiling a list of biographies of various historical figures (mainly European monarchs), books about past civilizations, and books that give insight to how people throughout history lived. I'm fascinated with anything that has to do with Ancient Egypt, Ancient and Medieval China, the Ancient Greeks, the Persian Empire (Achaemenid and Sassanid) the Phoenicians, the Etruscan Civilization, the Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire, Medieval and Renaissance Europe, and the Ottoman Empire.

As for fiction, like I said, I haven't forgotten it. I'm looking into science fiction as well as some of the classics.

I'm starting with a clean slate. I'm not going to list all of the books that I "have" read in the past, instead, I'm using LibraryThing as a place where I can list all of the books I "want" to read. From there, each time I finish a book on my wish list, I'll tag it as being read. Till then, happy reading everyone. =)
