- Acerca da Minha Biblioteca
As a writer, I read extensively. In recent years, my focus has been on WWII fiction, so books about that era in Australia and Europe - both non-fiction and fiction - have dominated my reading list.
Highly recommended is a pictorial book about internment in Australia during WWII called 'Dunera Lives: A Visual History', which features paintings and sketches done by transportees from Great Britain who became inmates of internment camps at Hay (New South Wales) and Tatura (Victoria).

Debbie Terranova is an Australian author of historical fiction, crime mysteries, and gripping short stories. Her self-styled genre is ‘fiction with a conscience’: stories inspired by true events and controversial issues.
She has published four novels and numerous short stories. She received a special commendation in the 2022 Scarlet Stiletto Awards for her short crime mystery set in the gem-fields of outback Queensland.
Debbie is a former HR professional and Research Fellow of the State Library of Queensland. Her formal qualifications are Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Public Administration (MPA).
She travels extensively within Australia and overseas, in particular to Europe and the USA. People, places and history inspire and inform her writing. Her writing space in sub-tropical Brisbane is surrounded by gumtrees, cackling kookaburras, and raucous parrots.
