Sobre mimI've been teaching political theory at Mount Holyoke College and the University of Massachusetts for the past three years. My work focuses on Arendt and democratic theory. I'm also interested in neoliberalism and neoconservatism, feminist theory, multiculturalism, and race in American political thought. When I'm not working I like to read fiction, cook, putter around in cyberspace, and walk around cities.

Sobre a minha bibliotecaIt's mostly scholarly, but there's a healthy presence of literature, contemporary fiction, and poetry. I started my library when I was about fourteen and began illicitly returning my father's giant hardcover Tom Clancy novels to our local Barnes and Noble for store credit. Once I exhausted his supply I began looking for other sources of affordable books, and spent at least a part of every weekend at Strand and East Village Books, buying mostly English literature and poetry. Now the library is a work-in-progress. Many of my books are in storage right now due to space issues in my small apartment. The ones I have catalogued so far represent a pretty reasonable sample of what I have: mostly contemporary political theory, Western philosophy, American history, and contemporary fiction. I have a special place in my heart for German philosophy and post-communist Eastern European fiction.
