Acerca da Minha Biblioteca
PAST LIBRARY: In 2005 I gave away loved books that I believed had completed their effect on my life. Rereading them, I felt, was not needed in order to move forward in the subjects they covered or the motivations behind them. They were theatre texts from my university days, for example. I kept all the poetry books, and the plays I miss I can read again any time. I'm ready for Tchekov's the Cherry Orchard again, for example. Also The Three Sisters. Books that have "disappeared" and are thoroughly missed are: the UPI style book (lost 1993 - maybe Peter Salmon, Calgary has it?); my Irish Fairytales never returned by Phil Shirley, Toronto (Lost 1978 - can't find Phil or any extant copy of that book published hard cover in the 1920's, I think. Story of a huge sturgeon living for generations in an Irish river; complete Salmon journey the best I've ever read, all laced with the magic of a fairytale.).
