Acerca da Minha Biblioteca
The books listed in my library are books I have read since I joined Library Thing. I own many more. The first tag I give a book represents who or what library owns the book. Other tags are a combination of subject headings and other phrases that make sense to me. The "star rating" I give to a book reflects how much I liked the book.
Acerca de Mim
I have been a school librarian since 1973. The first 12 years were at an elementary school. When a middle school was formed in the same community, I became the librarian there. I retired at the end of the 2010-2011 school year. I enjoy reading many different types of books. Two of my favorite quotations follow.
"The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears, or the sea." -Isak Dinesen
"I cannot live without books." -Thomas Jefferson
My favorite place to be is at the beach listening to the surf, feeling the breeze, and reading a book.
