Sobre mimA home librarian managing collections for three bibliophiles and our friends.
Sobre a minha bibliotecaCOLLECTIONS
I use Your library to combine my Home shelves and ebooks saved on any device in my possession. (Cataloguing our home libraries is an ongoing process, so neither is complete.) Materials within Wishlist are those I intend to check out from libraries, purchase when/if able, or request as gifts; tags within the collection show my intentions.
RATINGS
★★★★★ - love it, fiercely
★★★★½ - loved it
★★★★ - really liked it
★★★½ - liked it
★★★ - liked some parts
★★ - liked what it could've been
★ - disliked it
½ - hated it
My ratings are based on emotions so are subject to change at any time. As my reviews are based on thoughts, feelings, and my skills for expressing both, those are also subject to change.
Reviews are edited frequently. Reviews-in-progress are sometimes saved in the Comments field on work editions. Errors in judgment and typing are my own. (😁)
TAGS
Works are tagged for multiple purposes simultaneously. Duplication between tags and item descriptions such as media type is deliberate.
My tag list includes acronyms, mostly for works featuring LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, and queer/questioning) characters and/or themes. "mlm" is my attempt to bring together gay, mm romance, shounen-ai, yaoi, and similar tags in my library. However, work that only features non-romantic MSM (men who have sex with men) might be excluded. To me, "mlm" means "masc people who love (romantically) masc people".
I chose "wlw" instead of "flf" for fem-fem romances because of the former's popularity. Latest Update: I'm using "sapphic couple" because of how often the gender and sexuality of femme characters are vaguely presented. The term is uncommon, but I think it's less confusing.
"magic users" is for characters: mages, sorcerers, summoners, warlocks, witches, and wizards. Shamans, rabbis, or priests might elicit the tag on works that are marketed as fantasy/speculative.
