- Acerca da Minha Biblioteca
- I am a major role-playing gamer (D&D, etc.), mythology buff, and student of medieval and ancient history. I have a definite habit of buying more books than I will ever read; some of them because I really would like to read them, and some because they might be handy to have around for browsing or referencing. This is why I love books of the "Complete Dictionary of..." variety.
The knitting books in my catalog and most of the classic SF are more my lady's thing than my own, but I am into a number of other crafts (calligraphy and polymer clay, especially) and some of the SF as well. Also, I'm really not sure how we've ended up with so many cookbooks, as we rarely really cook.
I use tags prefixed with asterisks to describe something regarding the physical qualities of a book, such as "*signed" or "*do not own", and tags prefixed with @ to indicate the location of books in storage. The tag "wish" is so I can tell what's only in my Wishlist when I'm using LT Mobile. I've started using the ratings stars to rank the priority of items in my Wishlist, so don't think 1 or 2 stars on an item there means I don't like the book--it's something I want, just not necessarily soon. - Acerca de Mim
- I am a severe biblioholic working at Barnes & Noble. My user name is bastardized Welsh for "raven-wing". I am a some-time polymer clay artist, bookbinder, calligrapher, photographer, and novice student of medieval swordsmanship. I live a rather non-traditional, polyamorous lifestyle, and I believe strongly in two quotations from Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel Saga: "All knowledge is worth having," and "Love as thou wilt."
