Sobre mimBibliophile. Now there's a word for you--and it's as good as any to describe me. My interests include reading and writing, classical music, classic movies, vintage television, and baseball. For my bread, I work as a college educator and a freelance copyeditor and voiceover talent.

Sobre a minha bibliotecaTopic categories in this collection include history, biography, writing, language, grammar, economics, literature classics, biblical studies, theology, devotional classics, philosophy, mythology, and America's pastime, baseball. I do enjoy a good novel now and then.

Several books here I've held onto from my youth, such as the Hardy Boys, because memories of reading them--often at night under bed covers with a flashlight--are among my happiest from childhood. Those books helped set me on the enjoyable path of lifelong reading and learning, and for that I'll always be grateful.

Reading books is wonderful and one of life's simple pleasures, but it can't take the place of living life and doing what we can to make our world a little better. I must concur with Thomas a Kempis, who penned these words in his 15th century classic, The Imitation of Christ: "Certainly, when Judgment Day comes we shall not be asked what books we have read, but what deeds we have done."
