Acerca da Minha Biblioteca

I am still in the process of cataloging my library. A good-sized portion of it is still in boxes in the attic at my parents' house, and getting them catalogued is slow work. While I can add some titles from memory, I don't dare rely on that for all of them.

Additionally, I am still working on standardising the tags I use and getting all my catalogued books into the proper collections I have defined. The collection sorting in particular is a very manual process since very little of the information I am sorting by was included in tags.

A word on reviews and ratings: Both reviews and ratings in my library are likely to skew high, simply because I would much rather talk about books I really enjoyed than about books I didn't like at all. Similarly, I tend not to keep books I did not enjoy, so they will not necessarily be catalogued.

Reading Log and Wishlist: I have a second account at ShadrachAnki that is devoted to my reading wishlist and my reading log (both owned and borrowed books). It is an import from Goodreads.

Acerca de Mim

I have loved books and stories since before I could read myself, and having a personal library was something my parents strongly encouraged as I was growing up. To help foster a love of reading (and owning) books, my parents absorbed half the cost of any book I bought until I graduated from high school (though at some point along the line it was restricted to "any hardcover").

My reading preferences have tended towards fantasy and science fiction for years, but I'll give pretty much anything that looks interesting (or comes to me highly recommended) a try.
