My current collection of books reflects the personal interests and study that i have pursued over the past years, being the ancient vedic history and philosophy of yoga in the broader sense, Hinduism, Jainism, Tantra and the many schools of Buddhist thought. I am happy to be able to share these resources with yoga students and friends through "Librarything".

Since a young child i have been a lover of books and and an avid reader. Like many people the bookshelf shows one's journey through life, following the many different stages of growth and interests. I have lived in a yoga ashram for more than ten years following the path of Satyananda Yoga, involved in Yoga teaching and training, and enjoying being part of an active, dynamic International sangha. I visited Plum Village , the residence of Thich Nhat Hanh (one of my favorite author/teachers) in France in 2007. i am dedicated to sharing yoga ecology as a way of life, especially in the light of the current global crisis. The Gayatri Mantra is an ancient Vedic mantra, the sanskrit root "Gau" sacred cow, relates to the Greek Gaia, Mother Earth. It is said that chanting the Gayatri Mantra "gives life back to the Earth" David Frawley.
