Acerca da Minha Biblioteca: It is a working library that is organized in such a way as to support my research, particularly in genealogy.
Acerca de Mim: I am a retired high school English teacher, a former Naval Reserve officer, the author of Crimes and Clues, a high school logic and writing text; two editions of The Lord Peter Wimsey Companion, an encyclopedic annotation of the Lord Peter stories by Dorothy L. Sayers; several journal articles published in the U. S. and the U. K. (including one for the New York Researcher of the NYG&B); and eight family genealogies. I have also been a speaker at conventions of the New York State English Council, the New York State Education Department Writing Conference (twice), the National Council of Teachers of English and at two conventions of the Dorothy L. Sayers Society—Somerville College, Oxford University and Royal Holloway College, University of London. I am a long-time member of the Rochester Genealogical Society and have given talks at their meetings over the past 25 years. I have my Clarke lineage back to Suffolk, England ca 1509. I also work with The Society of the Hawley Family for my wife's lineage. I obtained membership in the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, General Society of the War of 1812, National Society of the Sons of Colonial New England, The Roger Williams Family Association, The Order of First Families of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, and The Order of Founders and Patriots of America. My wife and I have a daughter who's a librarian. They are members of The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and The General Society of Mayflower Descendants and my wife is also a member of The Alden Kindred Association.
