I am a scholar of history, especially of Italy, the Roaring 20s, cities in general... American Orientalism, Film Studies, Performance Studies, Teratology, Architecture, Circuses, Cultural Theory... and so on. I teach Film Studies at the University of New Mexico, and creative non-fiction at the Umbra Institute in Perugia, Italy. I own a small company that offers International Cultural Writing Workshops in Italy.
