Book Bash Friday December 3

This will be a fun one for book lovers, and it benefits a wonderful local organization,Young Chicago Authors, that helps talented teens from the area's public schools develop their creative writing and performance skills. It also sponsors the country's largest teen poetry slam, Louder Than A Bomb, recently featured in an award-winning documentary. A number of well-known local authors will be there to talk about and sign their books, including Amy Dickinson (NPR and Ask Amy).

Friday, December 3rd from 6-9 pm.
Egan Urban Center - 1 E. Jackson Blvd., Chicago (enter through Barnes and Noble De Paul)
General Admission $50.
Light Buffet and Wine will be served
Over 30 Chicago area authors will be available to sign books purchased at the event.

I have two kids who went through the program, and couldn't recommend it more highly.

Wow! Great time. I think the authors enjoyed meeting each other as much as hanging out with the attendees. Many thanks to everyone who came! It was a big success, and I'm glad you got to see some of the YCA kids perform. They're what it's all about.
