Release date was yesterday and the US Amazon delivers on release date in USA if you have a pre-order and choose appropriate delivery option (and I suspect other bookstores do the same). Mine was waiting me at the door yesterday... and all the e-book readers should have it as well.
I think the UK release is officially in a few days but I think that it is shipping already..
Good but not great, takes a long time setting things up, but a great reveal / reworking at the end. I love how Dresden can do this, change everything you thought you knew about an event, without contradicting himself anywhere. Very clever plotting, and planning of the entire series.
Only one detail left unexplained - what about Bob?
Changes is still the best dresden book so far, Ghost Story was great and a bit interesting, but it seemed a little lacking, not sure if that was the new Murphy, Molly etc that we see. I am not at all sure how the next book will go, it's going to be a pretty complicated affair anyhow.
Yeah, something is going to happen in the next book with Bob, it does feel like there is something that should be happening/leading to him. Bob totally rocks!
I also have to admit, the reasoning behind his ghostness felt like a cheat.
It's a bit more than 16, according to Wikipedia:
Butcher is currently planning for approximately twenty books in the "case files" of the series, to be capped by a further "big apocalyptic trilogy".
I've been listening to the audio versions of the series and here I am at Ghost Story. My library system only has the John Glover narration. Is it worth listening to? Should I forge into the future and learn how to download audio files? That seems to be the only way the newly released James Marsters narration is available.
