Now that (alas!) Jan Wright's Ning list has closed, might we revive this group?
I will attempt to initiate revival by revealing that I no longer own all the books on indexing (still) listed in my library. Fearing that post my mortem they might lie about in charity bookshops, unappreciated, I have given to Oxford Brookes University Library (Publishing section) several publications on indexing that they did not have, including some signed by their authors -- Hans Wellisch, Bella Hass Weinberg and William S. Heckscher. I haven't deleted them from my list on LibThing, though, as I value the public records for them -- so little known!

Great idea, Hazel! I don't use this site often, but I don't see why we couldn't.
Did you have anything specific in mind? If so, please elaborate.

Happy New Year,
Pilar

Hi Hazel,

Let's give it a try.

Good luck with the revival, Hazel & all. I'm afraid I'd feel like an interloper of sorts ... having not indexed anything for a very long time. But I still have an interest.

Interlopers are always welcome. Reviving indexers is difficult, not unlike herding cats ...
