Hello! Just discovered this group via the VMC group and am keen on exploring the Persphones (so far I have read The Victorian Chaise Longue from local library which oddly and rather wonderfully stocks a lot of Persphones. However, they don't stock the Montana Stories by Katherine Mansfield and I'm very keen on getting hold of this. But as I already own a lot of KM I wonder if anyone has read this and/or knows which stories are included? I can't see any info on the Persephone site or on Amazon and if it turns out it's stories I already have I'd rather shell out on a Persephone I haven't read before. Thanks for any help!

Oh, and welcome to the Persephone Group! There is quite a bit of overlap with the VMC group, as you'll discover. But then we all have exceptional taste in books. ;)

Wonderful! Thank you for this - I shall go compare with my KMs. Yes, I can see there's overlap and I do agree we all have taste :))) Persephone are rather impressive tho - I just requested a catalogue and they sent it promptly with the magazine and a free bookmark - lovely service!

Ah didn't know there was overlap - I haven't read any KM shockingly but really want to - so have downloaded Bliss to my kindle. I wonder if any of those stories are also in the Persephone collection.

Welcome to the Persephone group Kaggsy - yes many of the VMC group members are here too : ) I love Persephone and have about 40 I think - you do get a wonderful service from the ladies at the Persephone shop. : )

>5 Heaven-Ali:: Hi Ali - I have KM's In a German Pension, Bliss and The Garden Party in Penguin editions plus Something Childish and other Stories and The Dove's Nest in Century Hutchinson editions. I checked the list above them and they were spread out amongst the books. I can see the value of having the stories in chronological order as in the Persephone edition and if I ever have the spare dosh I will probably buy it - but as I have all the stories already I figured I should spend money on a Persephone I don't have and so I've splashed out on my first Whipple - Someone at a Distance - can't wait till it arrives!

I love KM very much and it's interesting how she's a cousin of Elisabeth Von Arnim who I am also enjoying.
