We currently are happily owned by by three adorable eight-year-old rescue cats named Ruby, Leila and Lollipop - affectionately known as Ruby and the Twins.

I usually do my errands every Thursday - a weekly trip to the post office is usually a given for us. For the forseeable future, I'm afraid we can only accept requests going to and from the United States.

There is no limit to the number of books a person can mooch off me, If you see something that you would be interested in - be it one book or twenty - please feel free to request it and we will do our utmost to oblige you. My daughter will try to reciprocate and save you as much postage as she can, however she currently tries to limit herself to three books from any one account and is willing to "spend" however many points our account will allow.

We are Irish tea-totalers who have never smoked and get our huge "stash" primarily from our local library's book sale. but we are currently trying to whittle it down slowly but surely! :) Happy reading and swapping everyone! :)

I'm posting the books that I have posted since August of 2017 although currently, we have 160 books in our inventory and continually add more books every week or so. My daughter keeps an eye on our bookshelf and is usually checking her email very frequently so please expect a quick and courteous response. She and I are both book bloggers known as Rosefire and Emeraldfire online. This is by far not our complete inventory, just 1 month's worth of posted books.

I have the french translation of the 6 "Robot & Aliens" novellas by various authors in Isaac Asimov's Robot universe, as a 3 books boxed set in good to very good condition.

Is someone interested ? I'd like to send all 3 together in their box rather than separately.

Any Star Trek fans out there?

I found a bunch of Pocket Book Star Treks at the thrift store recently:

The Cry of the Onlies by Judy Klass isbn 0671681672
Enemy Unseen by V.E. Mitchell isbn 0671684035
Battlestations by Diane Carey isbn 0671632671
The Prometheus Design by Sondra Marshak and Myrna Culbreath isbn 0671833987
The Abode of Life by Lee Correy - two isbns - two copies - 0671627465 and 0671832972
First Strike by Diane Carey - two copies with the same isbn - 0671540025
Black Fire by Sonni Cooper isbn 0671836323
Shadow Lord by Laurence Yep isbn 0671473921
The Romulan Way by Diane Duane and Peter Morwood isbn 0671634984
Chain of Attack by Gee DeWeese - two copies with the same isbn - 0671632698
The Final Reflection by John M. Ford - THREE copies with the same isbn - 0671473883

All have a yellow price label on the front. I didn't want to damage the books by trying to take them off. Most are first Pocket Books printings. There are two first Timescape first printings. Most have yellowed pages but are in surprisingly good condition. Tight with covers in good shape.

In a few days I should be done reading the Fencer trilogy by K. J. Parker, is anyone interested in mooching them ?
Colours in the steel
The belly of the bow
The proof house
English, Fantasy, 3 mass market paperbacks in fair to good condition.

Despite the overall title (french publishers wisely renamed it "the Loredan trilogy"), not much swashbucking to be found except at the very beginning, the main engine of the story is the Loredan family, and how its members (largely unwittingly) shape the world around them in their struggles to get closer to, or get even with each other.

Also Available:
The Weird Sisters By Eleanor Brown - hard back with remainder ink mark on lower page edges

Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress byDai Sijie - paperback previously mooched so the front and back covers have creases. The pages are tight and definitely readable.

I've had a stack of books hanging around to go on BM but since I don't really need the points, I haven't bothered to put them in my inventory. But now I've decided there are just too many, so I've decided to offer them here first before I add them in BM. Like a couple others here, I've created a "moochable" collection. I've just added 5 books to start. I added by ISBN, but the covers don't always agree, so if its a particular edition, etc, just ask.

I thought I read somewhere that international postage is due to go up tomorrow, but for right now, I'm still willing to send international unless I put in the comments that it's just too heavy. So if you want something on the list, just PM me with your BM name and I'll reserve for you. I'll probably add a few as I get rid of a few and after a while if no one here wants one I'll add it to BM.

Dragons of Summer Flame in good condition with cover wear and creased spine.

I also have a pile of old sheet music that I would like to find a home for. These are for soprano. There is some Deanna Durbin and other older pop music, some operatic music and some religious music. If anyone is interested email me and I will be happy to reserve for you. I'll mail anywhere in the world and we can work out a deal as well. I'd like to find them a good home. All older and yellowing.

Someone gave me two boxes of crochet magazines and patterns. I'm starting to post them. Most will be 3-fers.

The bulk of them are from the 1980s and 1990s, but a few go back to the early 1970s. I'm trying to divvy them up by content, publisher, yarn type--anything that seems sensible, but I'm willing to mix and match.

Lots of baby clothes and layettes; toys and dolls; misc. bazaar-type projects; some thread crochet; and some fashion crochet, including funky early 70s and granny square projects. Oh, and afghans. How could I forget the afghans?

Most of them are in very good condition. However, I think they were stored in a damp basement, because they have that smell. Since many people photocopy patterns these days I don't think this is an intractable problem.

Update: The first patterns are all gone. That was *fast*. Will be posting some more soon.

I've weeded 100+ books from my collection. Would anyone here like to give them a good home?

Rather than key each title individually on this thread, I’ve listed them up on my secondary LT account: all books currently in the 'moochable' collection are available.

The books are in very good to near fine condition,* and I would be happy to answer any specific questions.

If you would like a book, please leave a public comment in the Nonsense account. (I thought that by directing all comments to the Nonsense account I'd cut down on different people pouncing on the same book. And I do apologize in advance for any confusion, with me posting in this thread under one account but directing you to a second account.)

While I cannot afford to ship outside of the US at this time, I would be thrilled to ship through an Angel — just say the word if you want a book and I'll reserve it on your behalf. (If you'd rather acquire via PaperbackSwap, I am game to figure out how to do a buddy swap.)

I'll try to be prompt at de-tagging books that have been requested out of the Moochable collection and into a Reserved collection as well, to help avoid disappointments.

Please, mooch away!

* ETA: Baring a couple yellowing mmpbs that may be 'good,' as I look at them more critically.

I have some more books that I'm looking at shifting, does anyone want any of these?

The Orchid Affair and The Garden Intrigue by Lauren Willig (both hardbacks, read once, some minor wear on the dust jackets)
Bone in the Throat and Gone Bamboo by Anthony Bourdain (PBs, minor signs of wear on the covers)
The Devil in Amber by Mark Gatiss (PB, read once, minor wear on the covers)

I have a complete set of World Book encyclopedias from 1974 along with about 30 years of Yearbook updates. I would love to find a school or library that would like to have them. I'm thinking it won't be in the US, though, because of our instant access to the Internet.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I also have a complete set of National Geographic magazines, in slip cases, from 1997 through 2011. Again, I would love to find a school or library that could use them.

Have you tried posting them on Freecycle? That's what my dad did with our Compton's set (circa 1990). I thought no one would want them, but someone came and picked them up for her elementary-age son.

I have all 7 books of W.E.B. Griffin's Honor Bound series and would like to keep them together as a set. It took me awhile to collect them all and I had to buy some outright so I would rather send them all as one set. They are all paperbacks.

Message me with your Bookmooch user name if interested in mooching these, and I will add the set to my inventory and reserve them for you so you can mooch them all together.

I found four Torchwood books in a secondhand shop last week.

When I've finished them, they're going on BookMooch. I would like to send them all to the same moocher, if possible. I took slightly less than a week to finish the first book, so they're probably going to be available in three or four weeks. So, is anybody interested?

They are:
The house that Jack built
Almost perfect
Pack animals
The undertaker's gift

I have the first three volumes of the Threads West series - Threads West, Maps of Fate, and Uncompahgre by Reid Lance Rosenthal. There are six books in the series but I don't have the other three yet. Set in the late 1800s, the series tells the story of a wagon train traveling across unsettled lands to the Rocky Mountains.

I would like to send all three together, and can't find a way to promote them as a set on Bookmooch so I thought I'd try here. If anyone wants them, let me know and I can reserve them for you and will give a point back if you take all three.

@ Darth-Heather, Bookmooch has a thread in the forums for Inventory Plugs that would be a perfect place to mention it, if you are still interested in posting about it on there. You can find it here: http://bookmooch.com/m/forum/inventory_plugs/0/0

Hope you find a moocher! :-)

Finally getting rid of a large volume of books.
They're coming to get them this Saturday (april 15) 11 am Dutch time, so if you want any of them, let me know (preferably by PM) before then! You don't have to mooch them rightaway, so if you don't have enough points right now, let me know you want them anyway.

The books (will add more later):
Norwegian Wood
Children of Dune
Cooking with a Wok
Night Train to Lisbon
Stone, paper, knife
What the Dog Saw: And Other Adventures (some stains on the dust jacket)
On Beauty (large, will probably need extra mooches)
Letters to Vanessa
Atonement
The Night Watch (fold in front cover and first pages)
Whose freedom?

and any other of my books with the tag gone Lions 2017.

I have four editions of the Man, Myth and Magic magazines from the 1970's. They are Volume 1 Numbers 1, 5, 7 and 8. You can see what they look like here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man,_Myth_%26_Magic_(encyclopedia)

If anyone is interested, let me know and I will manually add them to my inventory. Since I am in Canada, I can make a deal for the four of them for 4 points (smooch back 2 points for each magazine) for international moochers.

They are in pretty good condition considering their age. Some discolouration on the covers. One of them has the first page missing in part.

I am doing a two-for-one promo right now, to help more books from my inventory find new homes. For every two books you mooch, I will return one point to you.

Thanks for taking a look! Some of these poor orphans have been waiting a long time for homes.

I have added a bunch of books recently, mostly science fiction and fantasy by Marion Zimmer Bradley, Jude Fisher, Gael Baudino, J. V. Jones, Anne McCaffrey, Anne Kelleher Bush, Tanya Huff, Kelley Armstrong, and Anne Rice.

I noticed recently that my BM inventory seemed short, so I took some time to compare it to the actual books on my give-away shelf, and found that almost half of my books had disappeared from inventory. I know they were on there before, some of them have been on there for quite some time.

I added them all back, but many of them no longer come up with a cover. I wonder if this happened during the switch to Amazon.uk; maybe some listings didn't match up.

Anyway, my inventory is all set now, but I suggest that everyone else check theirs sometime too.

>211 Darth-Heather:, I had the same thing happen, but also throughout my time on Bookmooch, I've had certain books keep disappearing from my inventory. I just re-added three today that disappeared.

I also recently posted:
The High Queen by Nancy McKenzie
The Ring: The Sword, the Ring, and the Chalice by Deborah Chester
Deadline by Sandra Brown
