So what did you think of the Hugo Award 2012 Novelette Nominees?

Which were sublime and which were ridiculous? Any (virtual) throwing of books at the wall? Or did you feel compelled to read everything the author has written?

Discuss it all here! Spoilers abound, enter at your own risk...

“The Copenhagen Interpretation” by Paul Cornell (Asimov’s July 2011) - Too "edgy" and "gritty" for my taste, and too enmeshed in the world he has created for me to enjoy as a solo story
“Fields of Gold” by Rachel Swirsky (Eclipse Four) - Dull. Dull dull dull. Everyone is awful underneath, I get it.
“Ray of Light” by Brad R. Torgersen (Analog December 2011) - This was enjoyable if taken at face value, but I can't believe what was essentially a society of scientists wouldn't have sent up the occasional probe. Nerds will always be nerds.
“Six Months, Three Days” by Charlie Jane Anders (Tor.com) - My favourite. Sweet, with a solid prophecy philosophy question underpinning it. And it won!
“What We Found” by Geoff Ryman (The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction March/April 2011) - Eh. Wasn't mad about the core plot, or the meandering way in which it was revealed.
