Hey guys! I've been on vacation. Tomorrow is my first day back at the slave pits...

On the upside, this month's read is Hearts in Atlantis, a book I remember loving. I don't usually like King's Dark Tower-centric stories, but I remember loving Low Men in Yellow Coats.

I remember enjoying all of the stories. Too bad about what happened with the movie though.

I never read the Dark Tower series. Will this book make sense to me?

The book is really a story collection, where all the stories are related to the sixties some way.

Only Low Men in Yellow Coats really ties in to the Dark Tower. And even then I think you can follow easily. It's very in the background.

The book is worth reading. All four stories are stand outs.

I'm about seventy-five pages in and enjoying it as much as I did the first time. The first story has a similar vibe to It or The Body.

Every time I see one of those signs on the corner for a "Queen-sized Pillow top mattress" or a lost pet sign I think of the Low Men

I flat-out loved "Low Men In Yellow Coats," it's definitely going on my "year-end best list." And although I enjoyed the other stories in the collection, none of them quite lived up to that first one.
