I took the summer off and I took the much needed break to read books on my TBR pile. It's nice, but I am starting classes next week and I am smack in the middle of two books.
Anyway, for those of you returning to classes this fall... welcome back to the grind! I wish you all a happy year.

I've got one week left, and I just found out that apparently one of my professors changed the required textbook *after* the university bookstore posted Fall's texts last month. Which means that now I have to spend another $40 for the correct book and try to sell the now useless one on Half.com in attempt to recoup my losses. Sigh.

I understand THAT frustration. Sonething similar happened to me in my undergrad.
My books are going to cost me around $400 this semester... how do they get away with that? They have a captive audience.
I had a professor who wrote the book for his course and he wouldn't order it until the last minute so there were only new versions of it available at the bookstore (because they don't buy back books that won't get used again). Sly guy that one.
