BRITAIN AT WAR 1939 to 1945 what was life like during the war? by James Lingard (Authorhouse) has recently been re-launched in view of excellent reviews. I would value the opinions of the reading public as well as established historians. It is offered for review as an eBook, not a physical book.
The book is a short 33,000 word insight into the horrors of the Home Front with an overview of the major campaigns in World War 2, enlivened by personal experiences and quotations from Churchill. It provides a fascinating look at the harsh realities of life in Britain – life full of drama and the danger of impending death. How did a family with a small child caught up in such a war survive?
In a recent 5star review, Bev Walkling writes:
‘I confess that I am fascinated by the Second World War, in part because my father and various uncles served as members of the Canadian forces and their experiences impacted me as I was growing up. As such, this book was of great fascination to me.
This book was a relatively quick read that would be of interest to those who might not have much background in the events of the war or those who know the broad details but want the day to day understanding of how lives were affected by things like bombing raids. James Lingard has meticulously researched and presented the timeline of events for the war, but where this book really shines as far as I am concerned is in the sharing of his own family’s experiences as they were personally impacted. Though only a young boy when the war began, his life was affected in multiple ways and his family was at one point thought killed as their air raid shelter was destroyed. In actual fact they had gone out to the woods for an outing, which ultimately saved their lives!
Another enjoyable part of the book was the quotes Lingard used at the beginning of each chapter. Many of these quotes were taken from speeches by Churchill or other prominent men of the time and they add to the general picture and emotions of the period.
I would recommend this book to individuals ranging from young adults through to seniors.

I am author of "Quanto-Geometry: Overture of Cosmic Consciousness or Universal Knowledge for All". Recently published and available at Smashwords and Amazon.

This book addresses engineers, researchers, mathematicians, physicists and all science amateurs seeking satisfactory answers to long-time elusive problems in modern physics and cosmology. This is not your typical speculative book about these issues which commonly just adds more confusion and controversy to these matters.

Quanto-Geometric Theory stunningly derives the fundamental Quantum parameters and gravity from one single mathematical formalism, it is the first Theory ever to compute from first principles the host of known fundamental physical constants, both dimension-less and dimensional.

It is a read that will not disappoint anyone because the answers are there, clear, simple and falsifiable, in the tradition of good physics! A promise of enjoyment and enlightenment!

I am looking for reviewers among the audience of interest for review of this work in exchange for free copies. Drop me a line if you feel like exchanging some thoughts or reviewing.

Thank you.

My wife, Embrolic Selby, has written a new fitness book, Fitness With Personality: Use Your Color Type to Get Fit For Life, available on

The ebook is FREE to lend for kindle unlimited and Amazon prime users.

If you struggle with staying fit, visit to watch a video from the author and find out how this book can help.

Here is the book description:

Finally, the principles of personality typing and fitness programming are brought together in one book!

When your best friend thrives on a new fitness program and you don’t, you may feel you’re just bad at it.

When your workout partner absolutely loves strength training and you don’t, you may feel you’re doing it wrong.

You’re not bad at it, and you’re not doing it wrong.

Personality type is often ignored when it comes to fitness programs…until now. We created the Wellness With Personality Color Type system to help you match your personality style with your approach to wellness. In this book, we apply the Color Type system to Fitness With Personality so that you can easily find the right programs for you.

The Color Types are Yellow, Red, Blue and Gray. They are based upon the personality style and energy that one brings to the world. Each type should approach fitness differently instead of trying to fit themselves into programs made for someone else. Once you know your Color Type, you’ll know which fitness programs are worth your precious time and effort. You will finally be able to get fit and stay that way—for life!

I'm looking for reviewers for my new non-fiction book, Planning a Novel, Script or Memoir.

Here is the book blurb:

Creating a long story such as a novel requires a great deal of effort and creativity. It is easy to get lost in details and to lose focus on the main issues. This book describes a process to plan the work prior to writing the first draft. The purpose of the plan is to allow the author to concentrate on the important elements of the story. A major portion of the book describes a method of developing a roadmap to keep the writer on target.
The plan can be used to develop any long story. Besides a novel, this also includes scripts, memoirs and plays.

The book just received a 5-star review from an LT member, but I'm interested in getting more.

Just out and seeking reviews: To Touch and Be Touched is a memoir (about 38k words) in e-Book format but also will be published in paperback. It is an ordinary man’s search for what makes life worthwhile, published by Denro Classics. It will appeal to many adult readers.

Here is the back cover blurb:

In less than seven seconds, Bob Brown’s life was shattered. It wasn’t an accident. It wasn’t illness. It was a documentary film, and it took him forty years to recover.

In this memoir of seeking the reason to get out of a warm, comfortable bed in the morning, Brown tells the story of what made sense to him, and it may be right for you too.

He thanks his parents for making it all possible.

In page after page, hidden under unassuming titles, he assembles crisp bits of wisdom.
James Minard

I could relate to much of what he said…it continually got me thinking. In reading this book, I felt like Brown was speaking to me personally. I now want to read some of his 10 other books. Blaine Greenfield

Bob has a great way to take the common experiences that we all share and milk uncommon insights and understanding from them. Lessons abound for all of us. Jim Corbett

The theme is how a man of modest talents learned how to live an extraordinary life.

It Was All Robin’s Fault

Afternoon folks,

Hope everyone is fine and well.
I had been toying around with the idea of publishing a political work for several years until finally taking the plunge this month when I uploaded the Manifesto of the Edification Party.

If I may give you the opening block so as to wet your appetite.

What is needed is the creation of a democratically elected, representative, fully accountable and transparent planetary government which has the lawful ability to address global problems and issues.
This democratic world government should not exist to serve the narrow interests of national governments and multi-national corporations. It should exist and function to serve the best interests of humanity.
The political union of humanity is both possible and desirable. In a divided world we cannot hope to address such problems as climate change, war, poverty or terrorism. Only united can we hope to build a prosperous future for generations to come.

I genuinely would like some feedback in the form of a review or two ladies and gents. Please feel free to let me know what you think.
The work is free if you have kindle unlimited :)

Have a great day friends.

My second book is recently published. The "Soul of Africa" is a story of racial discrimination in the UK following my unique encounter with God.

You can request a free review copy through Net Galley -

Read a sample chapter on iAuthor

Soul of Africa is available on the following platforms:

Barnes & Noble:

Here is the book blurb:

In Soul of Africa Jumoke Akinniranye shares her personal journey through a period of extreme discrimination, atrocity and hatred in the UK, amongst a community she had lived, worked and fellowshipped with for decades – borne out of her encounter with the Lord, which resulted in the grace of God’s presence resting upon her life in an unprecedented way. It is an insightful journal of her journey through the Church, the State and the Community, detailing the lessons learnt through the process. She realised that a heavenly invasion that should have brought life to the community and the nation at large, had become a vehicle which her NHS colleagues, neighbourhood and local church community used for the outpouring of division, discrimination and hatred.

This book also give you an overview of her encounter with the Lord, as she shares the unique work the Lord did in her mind, body and spirit during these encounters, including opening the door of her mind, thereby allowing all to hear every thought or dreams that passes through her mind. She also tells of her numerous visits to heaven, and dreams from the Lord spanning many years with promises of the outpouring of His Spirit on earth like never before.

Hello, reviewers! I have a lot of print copies of Seven Sisters: Spiritual Messages from Aboriginal Australia to send out for reviews.

For readers of The Secret, The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down by Haemin Sunim, Eckhart Tolle, Louise Hay, and Paul Coelho.

According to Australia's ancient cultures, all creatures and things emerged from the Dreamtime. The Dreaming is not just a collection of lore or a long-ago time; it is a living energy that flows constantly through the universe. It is then and now, divine and human, spirit and law. Because the energy is as vibrant today as ever, these ancient stories show us how to survive in a harsh world and how to thrive in our souls.

Each Aboriginal story in this collection is enhanced with an essay from award-winning author Laine Cunningham. Our modern perspectives on love and friendship, illness and joy, life and the afterlife can be enriched with this ancient knowledge. Open this book and take your own journey through the eternal Dreamtime. Along the way, you will discover that the ancient connection to god/goddess/the divine still resonates in your soul. You will discover your own truth.

To grab a copy, email me directly at I am the author, Laine Cunningham. If you would like an ebook version, that can be provided instead. Review requests from outside the US will always receive an ebook instead of a print copy.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Free ebook copies are available for those interested in providing an honest review. Reach me here at LT or email:

Book description is below.

Not everyone is born a natural caregiver.

One moment, digital journalist Joy Johnston is a cynical workaholic with an underwater mortgage. The next moment, she faces the responsibility of caring for her eccentric mother who's battling colon cancer, just six months after her father's death from Alzheimer's. As an only child, she has no choice but to slap on the latex gloves, and get to know more about her mother — and herself — than she ever imagined possible.

The road from reluctance to resilience is bumpy and splattered with bodily fluids, but it also offers unforgettable lessons. Who knew you could learn how to change a colostomy bag on YouTube, or that hospice nurses like telling dirty jokes? Peppered with snarky humor, vivid observations, and poignant honesty, this essay collection will resonate with anyone drafted into a family health crisis.

Seeking Reviewers for a Genealogy Research Guide - The Researcher's Guide to American Genealogy. 4th Edition

The Researcher's Guide to American Genealogy. 4th Edition
By Val D. Greenwood
Publisher: Genealogical Publishing Company
Published: October 2017
ISBN: 978-0806320663
Genre: Genealogy
Formats Available For Review: Print (limited quantities, only available to qualified reviewers/bloggers in the U.S.)

When it was originally published in 1973, The Researcher’s Guide to American Genealogy, by Val Greenwood, revolutionized its field. It was the first true textbook ever published about American genealogy. Combining how-to guidance, case study examples, and an extremely detailed discussion of genealogical records, The Researcher’s Guide was both an instant success and the go-to source for its users during each stage of their research. Following the publication of Alex Haley’s Roots and the TV miniseries that book spawned, sales of Mr. Greenwood’s book soared, assuring its reputation as the best book in American genealogy ever published.

Between 1973 and 2000, two additional editions of The Researcher’s Guide were released, primarily in response to the use of the personal computer for compiling, organizing, and publishing genealogical information. By 2000, the early stages of digitizing genealogy data, mostly on CD-ROM , were also in evidence.

Since the publication of the 3rd Edition of The Researcher’s Guide in 2000, the genealogy landscape has changed dramatically. Almost everyone now uses a computer for research. Thanks to the Internet, with a click of the mouse, genealogists have access to more data they could ever dream of studying; data they would have had to travel far and wide to come by in the past. Much of this information is free, or moderately priced through commercial subion services. To cite one crucial example, the entire U.S. federal census, from 1790 through 1940, is available online and completely indexed, from several providers. DNA has also become an important tool in genealogy in recent years. Whether or not they know where their immigrant ancestors came from, with a mere sputum sample, Americans can discover their ethnic origins in just a matter of weeks. This technology can help fill gaps in the family tree by, among other things, putting one in touch with others possessing a similar genetic make-up.

The 4th Edition of The Researcher’s Guide to American Genealogy both embraces the changes of the last seventeen years and yet transcends them. Mr. Greenwood has re-written every chapter and added two chapters about technology as it relates to family history research--one dealing with significant concepts and definitions and the other with specific resources and applications, including major family history websites and Internet resources. In addition, virtually every chapter provides information on Internet websites pertinent to the subject discussed in that chapter. Greenwood covers all the major changes in the field, including DNA research. The final result is a 4th Edition that is 25% longer than its predecessor. Given the unprecedented amount of information on the Internet, today’s researcher is able to reach beyond the vital statistics to a new world of understanding, both of his ancestors and of himself. Accordingly the author shows the reader how to build a family history about actual people, not just names and dates, from the myriad available sources. Mr. Greenwood also recognizes that not all sources researchers are seeking can be found online today—some never will be—that much information on the web is faulty or unsourced, and that researchers invariably enter dead ends or hit brick walls. Good instructional guidance, consequently, is critical to the success of family history research, and this is where The Researcher's Guide is unsurpassed. It is both a textbook and an all-purpose reference book, designed to help the present generation of family history researchers better understand the methods and principles of family history research, and learn how to utilize all available resources. In short, this new 4th edition provides a clear, comprehensive, and up-to-date account of American genealogy—no sound genealogical project is complete without it.

"Recommended as the most comprehensive how-to book on American genealogical and local history research."—Library Journal

Hi Everyone!

I've just published my 6th Book, "Positive Aging: A SMART Living 365 Guide to Thriving and Wellbeing At Any Age" and would love some honest reviews.

Link on Amazon:

Description: Do you have a positive view of getting older? It matters. Like many baby boomers her age, Kathy Gottberg started wondering if it was all downhill after turning 60. Instead, she gladly discovered that how each of us views the aging process strongly influences our health and happiness in the years to come. Now rather than seeing her advancing years from the perspective of decline and disease, Kathy is happy to share in the pages of this book how the vast majority of people can and do remain reasonably healthy, active and thriving for the remainder of their lives.

How did we get it wrong? Until recently, most studies of people as they aged came from insurance companies, drug companies or doctors who specialized in geriatric care. Like the psychology field, research in the past often focused on pathologies, what didn’t work, or what went wrong. Fortunately, that is changing. Now many groups, organizations, and scientists are looking into what makes for a long and healthy future no matter what the age. Instead of only seeking ways to make our final years merely comfortable, the attention is now being put on what helps us to continue to grow and thrive. When we choose to see aging from this new positive perspective, each of us is granted the opportunity to celebrate the many benefits of what is now being called “the third age” of life.

Who will benefit from reading this book? Certainly, those at age 50 and beyond will find inspiration. But those just hitting midlife should also find encouragement. After all, the more we tell those younger than us that aging can be wonderful, fulfilling, and liberating, the better. Then instead of worrying about what is coming as we age, holding a positive perspective is sure to keep our minds and options open to the possible. And as the saying goes, like fine wine, we will just get better with age.

Positive Aging—A SMART Living Guide 365 to Thriving & Wellbeing At Any Age is a collection of blog posts written by Kathy Gottberg on her blog SMART Living during the last five years. These articles address some of her best ideas about the topic and tie into how each of us can fearlessly embrace our age and look forward to the days to come.

New Personal Transformation Book Available For Review

Request a review copy at

Understanding the Patterns of Your Life: Take Charge of Your Destiny
By George Pan Kouloukis
Publisher: Red Feather
Published: July 2017
ISBN: 978-0764353208
Genre: Non-Fiction, Personal Transformation, Self-Help

The book is an astonishing discovery! The moment you’ve finished reading it, you’ll be able to learn whether the years just ahead are good or bad for you – and how long this season will last! You can act so accordingly. If you find that a storm is on the horizon, you’ll take shelter in time; if you find that sunny days loom ahead, you’ll take advantage of it before the opportunity passes. In short, you’ll be able to take crucial decisions regarding your career, marriage, family, relationships, and all other life’s issues.

So, the book radically transforms the way we all live today. You will see among other things, why you mustn’t be seized by despair and pessimism when you find you are in a bad season of your life –fearing that this season will never end. Or, why you can dare when you find you are in a good season – fate is with you. Also, you’ll see that when you find you are in a good season of your life, you mustn’t behave as if you assume that this season will never end. On the contrary, you have to take in time the necessary measures to face successfully the problems that may occur in the bad season that will follow.

Also, you’ll learn from this book that you must not blame yourself –and have not any remorse– for the fact that a bad season came in your life. You’ll realize that you haven’t made any mistake to cause the arrival of this season, and you couldn’t have done anything for avoiding this; the bad season would have inevitably arrived in any case. And yes: you’ll see, among the lots of advantages this book offers, that you can entrust an employee or colleague with the solution of a difficult problem –or a politician to govern your country, or even a coach of a basketball team– only if you know they are in a good season of their life, operating so from a position of strength.

You’ll also see that the biographies of 22 famous people cited in the book (from Beethoven and Napoleon to Picasso and Jackie Kennedy) are really super-interesting. You’ll be amazed to learn, for example, why Napoleon the Great wouldn’t have attacked in 1815 the English and Germans in Waterloo – where he suffered total destruction that lead him to death – if he knew the theory of this book. Things may have so taken another course for him, and a new good season, a glorious one again, may have later started for Napoleon.

Also, you’ll see that the discovery cited in this book can also help you to foresee the life evolution of the other people – of your friends and relatives, of famous people (artists, singers, actors, and the likes), or even of the politicians that govern you. You can predict, for example, how long the leader of your country will stay in power after his election, or for how long a famous singer will continue his successful career. All depends on the season – good or bad – these persons are at a given moment, as explained in detail in the book.

Finally, the discovery revealed in the book will radically change in the future the mentality and character of all people. People will become more philosophized, realists, and peaceful –they will know that a good season doesn’t last forever, on the contrary a bad season awaits; it hasn’t any meaning, therefore, being quarrelsome and aggressive. On the contrary, the Man will become tolerant and merciful, and have more understanding towards the others. Superficiality and imprudence, even if they don’t disappear completely, will drastically be reduced.

The author George Pan Kouloukis is an attorney-at-law, a lawyer barrister. He is a Greek citizen, born and brought up in Greece, and he is living in Greece. His mother tongue is also Greek; English is his second language. Now retired, he was a member of the Athens Bar Association of Greece and he had provided legal services to the Ionian Bank of Greece, the Greek Electric Railways Company, and other corporations. He is married with two daughters and three grandchildren.

Imagine a doctor doing ordinary activities in his kitchen, stopping to draw some of the everyday objects around him, like an orange and a corkscrew. Then watch him turn those drawings into advanced patents for hip and knee replacements. Dr. Michael Ries holds 45 patents, and many of his ideas came to him in the kitchen. The remarkable efficiency of the human hip and knee are described here through simple illustrations, explaining why hip and knee replacements will never be quite as perfect as the joints we were born with. Health care professionals, patients considering joint replacement, students, and inventors will find The Joint Kitchen informative, entertaining, and thought-provoking. Dr. Ries shows that a state of tranquility allows the creative and problem-solving parts of the brain to connect and form new ideas that can transform and improve lives.

About the Author:
Dr. Michael Ries is a world renowned orthopaedic surgeon. He has presented over 600 invited lectures at regional, national, and international orthopaedic educational conferences, and published over 200 peer reviewed journal articles and 50 book chapters on topics related to total hip and knee replacement. Dr. Ries is also an inventor on 45 US patents for hip and knee replacement devices.

I'm always looking for reviews for my book The Civil War and the Subversion of American Indian Sovereignty.

The U.S. government’s Indian Policy evolved during the 19th century, culminating in the expulsion of the American Indians from their ancestral homelands. Much has been written about Andrew Jackson and the removal of the Five Nations from the American Southeast to present-day Oklahoma. Yet little attention has been paid to the policies of the Lincoln administration and their consequences.
The Civil War was catastrophic for the natives of the Indian Territory. More battles were waged in the Indian Territory than in any other theater of the war, and the Five Nations’ betrayal by the U.S. government ultimately lead to the destruction of their homes, their sovereignty and their identity.

Title: V.Q.E. The Tale of an Indian Physician in the United Kingdom of the 1980's
Paperback: 224 pages
ISBN: 978-1-64467-978-4 (sc)
ASIN: B07J3NSQ38 (ebook)
Price: $7.99; Rs 299 (India) $2.99 (kindle)
Author: Vivek Gumaste

Was Great Britain of the 1980’s a welcoming place for a young man hailing from its former colony? How did the National Health Service exploit the vulnerable physicians from a newly independent and struggling India to fulfill its needs? What were the flaming hoops that a foreign physician had to jump through to further his professional career in the UK en route to a final destination in the United States? Read about all this in a gripping, event filled narrative- VQE- an acronym for the dreaded Visa Qualifying Exam, a grueling 2-day test that all foreign physicians had to pass to practice medicine in the United States.
The author is a physician who graduated from a prestigious medical school in India more than 35 years ago and has practiced medicine in three countries- India, UK and USA. He holds numerous postgraduate qualifications- he is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCP-I), a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and has a degree in Health Care management from Harvard University.
In 1980, after completing medical school in India, he landed in Britain in pursuit of his dream to get to the United States. He was young, a full 26-year-old, ambitious and opinionated. The two and half years that he spent in Britain were eventful years and this book captures that period
This dazzlingly original book set in Great Britain of the 1980’s. does not subscribe to any set genre. It is a unique chronicle that weaves the current events of those times with the memoir of a young foreign physician in an alien land to produce a piece of work that is informative, touching at times and entertaining in parts. It captures the despair, the hopes, trepidations and travails of this young man from a financially indigent India of the 1980’s as he charts his way through the land of his colonial masters and the innumerable challenges of this tumultuous period of his life: professional setbacks in the form of certifying exam failures, joblessness as he moves from one part of Britain to another changing cities sometimes every two weeks in search of work; a cataplexic agoraphobia as he tries to come to terms with British racism on the streets. Meanwhile in the background a host of remarkable events are being played out- Lady Diana’s wedding, inter-racial riots and the British-Argentina war over the Falkland Islands.
In a span of 224 pages the author captures a host of personal emotions, a medley of diverse encounters and a series of professional challenges to present to the reader an interesting event filled narrative that is painted against the backdrop of tumultuous times in UK.

Newly minted author of a free verse poetry memoir 'Small Town Kid'. In e-book and paperback at the Zon and other online booksellers.

The collection tells stories of growing up in a small Australian town back in the 1960s and 70s. Building bonfires, riding bikes for 14 miles to spend half an hour with a girl, roaming the bush with freedom, smoking at school.

Available as a member giveaway for a short while, as, while it has gained a few good reviews, which are lovely, it would be grand to add some more.

I'd be delighted to chat about the book, or the times, or other matters.

I am an author/singer-songwriter living in Japan.

My new book 'Surviving in Japan' is the memoirs of a point of my life.

I had led my daily life in Japan awkwardly but peacefully until the 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit the northern Japan in 2011.

The book tells how my Japanese life was before the earthquake and how it changed after that.

Since it's memoirs of a clumsy person as myself, the book is somewhat funny despite the horrible experience of the massive earthquake.

It is also useful to get a glimpse of a Japanese way of life.

I hope I can help brighten your day by making you laugh and smile with this book.

Hi everyone,

I moved away from my home country in 2013, from Romania to Canada and the experience has been the toughest of my life. I've met many immigrants who have gone through the same hustles: logistical, administrative, financial, social, but also mental and emotional. It's hard to be away from home, to start from scratch with no support and... to deal with the losses involved in any move. But, on the other hand, it's beautiful to challenge yourself, to reinvent yourself and to literally expand your horizons in the new country you've chosen to be your home.

I've put all my experience, knowledge, skills and above all care and love in the first Master Guide out of the Moving Abroad series: The Essentials, i.e. the things a move cannot happen without.

It's easy, fun and helpful to read and also contains real-life stories from people who've moved abroad successfully.

I am looking for reviews for my July 14th release on Amazon. If you're interested to get free and super valuable information and simply become clever, email me at or reply to this message with your email address.

This lasts until July 8th. Hurry! I'll see you on the other side.

Yours truly,

Hi, I'm Jocelyn Soriano, a self-help and inspirational book author. My book "366 Days of Compassion" is free today at Amazon... I'm looking forward to knowing your feedback/reviews for the book.

366 Days of Compassion is a one year daily devotional with original reflections, poems, prayers and motivational quotes on God's compassion for all of us. Each day's reflection is related to a Bible verse/scripture, resonating with inspiration, especially for those who are undergoing difficult times. It is for those who grieve, those who are losing hope, those who have lost their loved ones or their dreams, those who feel all alone, those whose hearts are broken, those who are judged and feel condemned. It is full of messages of healing, wisdom, courage and faith.

Been reviewing nonfiction here since LT first opened. Two a week. It is available at amazon, which is offering a rather attractive discount - 100% - for the e-book edition. I would love to have your opinion posted on LT and amazon. I need feedback of all kinds.

I just started noticing your reviews this year (or maybe last), and they are among those I actively follow on LT. I enjoy your reading selections as well as your opinions. I just recently reached my own thousandth posted review (a mix of non-fiction and other things), and my Other Reader has encouraged me to make a book of them. I'm dubious, though. It would be a pretty heavy editorial lift to make it readable, I think. At a minimum, they'd have to be organized into chapters by genre/topic and so forth.

Hi everyone! My name is Dilip D James and I am the author of the book “The Electromagnetic Universe: A New Physics”. This is the story of how I chose the cover for my book or more accurately of how it chose me. I would like to explain why I had chosen this particular piece of art; ‘Textured wall paper’ by Dmitiri Bayer for the cover of my book. The moment I saw this particular work of art I was very attracted to it, without really knowing why. It was only later that while looking at the cover of my book, I realised that what had attracted me to this work of art was that it reminded me of the saying “Pennies from Heaven” . So to me it symbolises the down to earth God given wisdom that we are all blessed with.
Physics from the beginning of the twentieth Century has used abstruse mathematics dealing with imaginary numbers existing in multiple dimensions that has little or nothing to do with reality to explain phenomena using explanations that were equally arcane and occult as the mathematics that supported them. Take the idea of a particle (a solid having measurable mass and dimensions) being able to exist in two places at once (superposition) or theories that the same particle can undergo disembodiment And be everywhere and nowhere at one and the same time (the wave-function). Take the belief that multiple dimensions can exist, although we in this Universe know of only three ; length, breadth and height. If time is included that makes four dimensions, but no matter how you try it is impossible to think of more dimensions. So the theory of multiple dimensions exists without and explanation or description of what these multiple dimensions might be. Special and General Relativity are even worse. Special relativity claims that distances can contract (length contraction) and that time can grow longer or shorter according to circumstance. What this means is that the time taken for light to travel the one way distance from London to New York is the same as the time taken by light to travel from London to New York and back to London again. (Look up Einstein synchronisation on Wikipedia). Einstein exerted, and still exerts, such a fascination over our minds that in spite of the fact that we know for sure that what he is saying is wrong. For instance, we can theoretically measure the difference between the one way journey that light travels and the two way journey that it travels, we are willing to accept it when Einstein says that our calculations are wrong!
The Electromagnetic Universe: A New Physics’ offers indisputable alternative explanations based on common sense and logic, for all of the phenomena that quantum mechanics and relativity are unable to explain without resorting to occult explanations. Hence the appeal of the art work of the cover for the book, with its connotations of ‘Pennies from Heaven’.
What has this got to do with the common man/woman on the street and how is it important? Think about it, light is possibly the most important aspects of our lives, do we want to be excluded from such an important part of our lives and have the beauty of light in all its glory shrouded and hidden from us by arcane mathematical abstractions that have no connection to reality? The physics community is today more fascist than Hitler’s Germany or Communist Russia. They do not tolerate dissent. Nothing must be spoken that goes against that which already exists. My book reveals, in part, some of this deception and explains light in terms that are easily understandable.

Hello everyone, my latest book is now available on Amazon Kindle ($1.23) KU and paperback.

Hi everyone.

I write popular philosophy. This is just a quick post to let know that my new book - "Descartes's Dog" - is now out as an ebook. It's about the French philosopher René Descartes (him of the "I think therefore I am" fame) and his view of animals. Descartes thought animals were just machines, but that humans possess an immaterial soul. This allowed him to treat animals however he wanted (allegedly). I investigate these allegations, and look at what it means for our concept of ourselves as humans - which turns out to be quite important, because (surprisingly) it is a view that also influences the concept of mind employed in artificial intelligence.

Anyway, the book is only short - just under 40 pages - but is only $0.99/£0.99/€0.99. It's currently available on Kindle, Apple Books and Kobo (with Google Books and Nook versions pending). Please see the links on my website:

Comments welcome for those who read.

All the best,

Gareth Southwell.

Book description:
My name is not Zoey, but the rest of this story is pretty legit. I did grow up in Hawaii, and I do check the boxes "two or more races" and "millennial" on surveys. My journey includes a cast of close relations who are managing schizophrenia, OCD, hoarding, and sticking-head-in-sand. I have included an unhealthy dose of detail regarding my struggles with sex and relationships. I also share my struggles to try the make-the-world-a-better-place thing, despite my urge to sprint away from every mildly uncomfortable conversation. I have not struggled to laugh at myself. There may be bits of this story that bum you out. However, I'll only let that go on for a few pages before I say something awkward that you might laugh at. For example, if I tell you someone dies, I'll quickly follow up by telling you about the time a 12ish year old boy hit on me at a grocery store. (He may have mistaken my work backpack for middle school gear, or he may have just been a baller.) There's a splash of politics and COVID-19 pandemic fun in here too. I would describe this story as having a happy ending.

Read Emmaus... In Today's Society Online by George Calleja | Books (

The story of the Road to Emmaus is a very interesting and well-known passage in the Gospel. It is a story that takes place just a couple of days after the crucifixion of Jesus. It recounts the episode of two men who were travelling the road to Emmaus, when a third man, out of nowhere, joined them on their way. Where had this man come from? Who was this mysterious man and what did he want?
This book will go into the spiritual meaning behind the story of Emmaus. It will use the author’s imagination of what went on during the walk of the three men, what was discussed and what the outcome of the journey was.
The third man of this story had a significant impact upon the spiritual life of the other two men. What was this spiritual impact all about? In today’s society, is the story of the road to Emmaus, still significant? How can the story of the road to Emmaus play an important role for the evangelisation of the world, to share the Good News in the peripheries of today’s society?
All this will be explored in this book. This book will bridge what happened 2,000 years ago on the road to Emmaus and translate that message, that spiritual experience for today’s readers.
Thank you for making time to read this book.

‘I liked this book very much, it is simple and clear. George enters into the journey of the two disciples on their way from Jerusalem to Emmaus, their confusion and disappointment. Jesus meets them on the way. In many ways this is also our story, our disappointments. Jesus meets us on the way. George brings this out. He sheds light on the unbelief in the world and society around us, for society has lost its way.
I certainly encourage anyone to read this book and to be hopeful of their own journey back to God. God bless you and thank you George.’ (by Susan Farrugia, author of ‘Restored in Christ’)

I've been in love with writing for over 30 years. It's been my spiritual self-discovery practice. I started writing when I was 13 and struggled with it like everyone else, but through love and daily practice, I've discovered the joy and beauty of this deep practice.

I love sharing what I've found with anyone who will listen. I'm a writing coach and love helping other writers discover the joy of writing and being a springboard for them to take a leap, abandon the self-doubt, and let their soul fly.

7 Minutes to Freedom: Simple Writing Meditations to Liberate Your Writing and Your Life is for anyone who is feeling stuck and wants to fly again in their writing and their life.

It offers a roadmap for writers and nonwriters to find their voice, embrace their creativity, and radically transform their writing and their life by using 100 simple and powerful writing meditations.

The Epitome of Kimmy: Accept and Embrace it All, is a testimony of finding resilience, embracing your destiny and overcoming adversity. It is an eye-opening memoir that takes you beneath the surface into some of the harshest realities of life from the perspective of an abandoned little child in kinship care growing up into adulthood. It is the authentic true story with no filters.

This memoir confronts the societal issues that many people struggle with today such as pedophilia, domestic violence, child abuse, abusive relationships, and teen pregnancy. As you read on you will sense the trauma, abandonment and pain as well as God’s divine intervention. Through this book, I hope that you will also be inspired to keep pushing forward in life through the toughest times.

I was recently interviewed on "A Woman’s Soul Restored" to discuss topics related to the new release. On this spiritual podcast, we shared stories of healing from childhood trauma and pain. We talk about how past traumas don’t define or dictate one’s future. I hope that through these conversations, You can also learn to reclaim your power, to believe in yourself, and rise up with confidence and spirit.

I am a first-time author of my new book on Amazon "Preventing Her Shutdown" Losing My Wife To Alzheimer's, trying to share different ideas and ways of caregiving "live" to others who find themselves on this difficult journey. This book was quite easy to write because it started out as a daily diary of events, situations, emotions and responses recorded as they happened to us. It was never intended to be a book until lately when I realized I could possibly help others in this situation. This is why some of the topics are not necessarily sequential. I am still keeping up my diary daily as her situation is ongoing, hoping I will never get to the end of it.

I would be very grateful for your review and very interested in your comments and opinion as this book has just been recently published.

Thank you

My latest book, "Pastor, Peacebuilder, Statesman: Rev Dr Haruun Ruun Lual" has now been published by Paulines Publications Africa. It's the biography of a South Sudanese church leader who led the church's ecumenical peacebuilding efforts during a key period which brought an end to the 22-year civil war in Sudan. It will never be a best-seller and it's a niche market, but it might be worth glancing at by anybody interested in church, peacebuilding, and Sudan and South Sudan. The e-book is available on Amazon.

My 2021 book, "An Angry Shepherd: Sudanese Bishop Macram Max Gassis", by the same publishers, has also recently become available on Amazon.

Author's/my name is John Ashworth.

Life optimization

This is a motivating book about life optimization, cleaning and decluttering.
This is mostly my personal experience. I hope you will finf it useful.
Decluttering and optimization of your life may seem daunting at first. But over time you get used to it and start to enjoy it.
I wrote this book to help those who want to optimize the space around them, get rid of unnecessary things, rituals and habits. The purpose of this book is to help you to identify your limits of simplification and optimize your life exactly the way you want.
I do not encourage my readers to make radical changes, change jobs, housing or partners.
But sometimes it’s enough to change the position of the armrests on your chair to make life easier and more enjoyable. If you want to make your life simplier and easier, just read my book.
