Bermudan actress Diana Douglas Darrid, best known as the ex-wife of actor Kirk Douglas and mother of actor Michael Douglas, has died on July 3 at the age of 92. She was author of In the Wings: a Memoir.

Lawrence Herkimer helped develop modern cheerleading and wrote The Complete Book of Cheerleading. He died July 1 at the age of 89.
