The Kansas City Wodehouse group, the PeliKans, is trying to regroup. A few of us met last week at my home, discussed plans for revitalizing our band and watched an episode of the PBS Laurie-Fry Wooster-Jeeves series. We are now reaching out to other Wodehouse fans in the Kansas City area who may be interested in joining our local "flock." We plan on book discussions, relevant play/movie outings, etc.

Reply to this message if you are in the area and interested in getting in touch with us.

Hello. I live in Columbia, MO, and have been a Wodehouse fan for decades. In fact, I received permission from the Wodehouse estate literary agency to write "Uncle Fred Flits By" as a stageplay for a high school at which I taught. They play was perfect for its imperfection. Every 8 years or so, I request permission to write the Drones Club stories as teleplays and to gauge interest in their production, but the response is that I need the backing of a production company first, which I have not got.

Anyway, despite residing some 125 miles to the east of Kansas City, I am certainly down with a little culture in the company of like-minded individuals. I've just joined this group, but feel free to write me (if that's what's done...I'll figure it our eventually). --Tim
