Went to a local charity shop last Sunday and found out they were having a half price sale and all paperbacks were only 10 pence! Of course I just had to buy 24, mainly paperbacks.
Also picked up 4 books yesterday in town for £1.

The Girl in the Picture by Denise Chong
Summertime by Vanessa Lafaye
War and Grace by Don Stephens
Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
His Right Hand by Mette Ivie Harrison
The Finkler Question by Howard Jacobson
Glue by Irvine Welsh
I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith
The Boy Who Loved Anne Frank by Ellen Feldman
Seal Morning by Rowena Farre
To Brave Every Danger by Judith Cook
Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood
The Green Isle of the Great Deep by Neil M, Gunn
Blindsighted by Karin Slaughter
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson
A Question of Integrity by Susan Howatch
The Tuscan Master by Peter Adamson
Isaac's Storm by Erik Larson
Poverty Castle by Robin Jenkins
The Red Tent by Anita Diamant
When We Were Orphans by Kazuo Ishiguro
Last Orders by Graham Swift
Prague Fatale by Philip Kerr
The Nameless Dead by Brian McGilloway
Black Swan Green by David Mitchell
Five Quarters of an Orange by Joanne Harris
Wrongful Death by Lynda La Plante
Some of the books were in pristine condition and never read. Very happy with my splendid purchases, especially at that price!
If any of you have read some of them please let me know what you thought.

No, I haven't read any of these, but WHERE DO YOU PUT ALL YOUR BOOKS?? You must have an impressive collection!

Alias Grace was good historical fiction. Is the Brian McGilloway The Nameless Dead? That was a decent mystery as well.
A stunning haul!

I've read I Capture the Castle. It has a certain charm. Eventually I got fed up with how everyone behaved and chucked it, but before that I read it at least twice.
