In Montreal, in the enormous Basilica, or Oratory, of St Joseph, there is a huge wall covered by crutches and wheelchairs of worshippers who used them when they entered the Basilica, and left them behind when they walked out.
Surely a wonderful aspect of religion is the hope instilled in believers, because people without hope are confined in gloom and despair. I plan always to keep the subject book, 'The Power to Heal,' prominently displayed in my bookshelf, to remind myself and visitors always to have hope, even in the darkest days.
Sadly, the author, Francis MacNutt, left his priesthood, although reportedly he has remained Catholic.

The concept of Divine Power influencing human lives has fascinated humans throughout our recorded history. This morning I stumbled once again into a website of the Dialogue of St Justin Martyr with the philosopher Trypho, which presents an interesting summary of the ancient philosophies (as compared to religions) views of the Power of God. http://www.theologynetwork.org/Media/PDF/Justin_Martyr-Dialogue_with_Trypho.pdf
My hope primarily in the conception of this group was to identify authors and books discussing the history, practice, and effect of Divine or faith healing, including views about whether there is passage of Divine Power to humans, for healing as well as other works of God. I hope to encourage readers to consider and discuss these issues.
I think this LT group structure can help readers conveniently find authors and books of interest, especially when book discussions and reviews are referenced in the groups, and I pray readers will be encouraged to share their reading and views.
