Italian chef Antonio Carluccio died 8th November age 80. His books include An Invitation to Italian Cooking which won the Bejam best cook book of the year award in 1986, Italian Feast, Carluccio's Complete Italian Food and Antonio Goes Wild. This last book had recipes for candied chestnut and an elderberry elixir.

Economist Uwe E. Reinhardt died November 13 at the age of 80. He wrote Physician Productivity and the Demand for Health manpower.

Folk singer Katie Lee died November 1 at the age of 98. She wrote All My Rivers are Gone and Ten Thousand Goddam Cattle: A History of the American Cowboy in Song.

Museum Director Karl Katz died November 8 at the age of 88. He wrote From the beginning: Archaeology and Art in the Israel Museum and The Exhibitionist: Living Museums, Loving Museums.

Editor and author gilbert Rogin died November 4 at the age of 87. His work includes What Happens Next? and Preparations for the Ascent.

Pat Hutchins, a writer and illustrator of books for young children, died November 7th 2017 age 75. She wrote Rosie's Walk, Goodnight, Owl, The Very Worst Monster, The House That Sailed Away and One-Eyed Jack (touchstones couldn't find this one) from a total of about 40 books.

Boxing commentator and physician, Ferdie Pacheco died November 16 at the age of 89. His books include The 12 Greatest Rounds of Boxing, Ybor City Chronicles: A Memoir and Muhammad Ali: A View From the Corner.

Numismatist Eric P. Newman died November 15 at the age of 106. His books include The Early Paper Money of America and The Fantastic 1804 Dollar.

Radio personality Robert D. Raiford died November 17 at the age of 89. He wrote Who Says That? I Say That.

Notorious mass murderer Charles Manson died November 19 at the age of 83. He co-wrote Manson in His Own Words.

Former Washington power broker Robert Gene Baker aka Bobby, died November 12 at the age of 89. His autobiography was called Wheeling and Dealing: Confessions of a Capitol Hill Operator.

Former tennis champion Pancho Segura died November 18 at the age of 96. He wrote Pancho Segura's Championship Strategy: How to Playing Winning Tennis.

Actress and singer Della Reese died November 19 at the age of 86. Her books include Angels Along the Way and God Inside of Me (Jump at the Sun Books).

Composer Eric Salzman died November 12 at the age of 89. He wrote Twentieth Century Music: An Introduction and Making Changes: A Practical Guide to Vernacular Harmony.

Hostess of a television sewing show, Nancy Zieman died November 14 at the age of 64. Her books include 10-20-30 Minutes to Sew and Landscape Quilts.

Chemistry professor Lilli S. Hornig died November 17 at the age of 96. She edited Equal Rites, Unequal Outcomes: Women in American Research Universities.

Prolific author and illustrator of children's books, Pat Hutchins died November 7 at the age of 75. her books include Rosie's Walk and The Doorbell Rang.

Economist Edward S. Herman died November 11 at the age of 92. His books include Manufacturing Consent and The Real Terror Network.

Joan Hess died on November 23rd, 2017. Her Facebook page changed to tributes on the 24th. Her books include Strangled Prose and she was loved by many.

Barbara A. Mowat, Shakespeare scholar, co-editor of the Folger Shakespeare Library Editions, former director of research at the Folger Shakespeare Library, and former editor of Shakespeare Quarterly passed away on November 24, 2017. She was 83.

Besides co-editing with Paul Werstine the Folger editions of Shakespeare's works, and publishing numerous scholarly articles, she was the author of The Dramaturgy of Shakespeare's Romances.
