I so did! If you want a little laugh out loud go to Hilarious stuff there.

"Chuck Norris doesn't read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants."

"Chuck Norris counted to infinity - twice."

Just little random quotes but some of them are too funny..almost creative even..:)

If you think the quotes are funny, see his movies and watch his "acting."

(Actually, I enjoy several of his films, and one of them, "Lone Wolf McQuade" is bound to be a cult classic in the years ahead.)

Unless you have a strong political leaning to the right, I think the NPR show "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!" is a way to have a good laugh--and maybe learn something about current events.

Well, I wouldn't call myself having a strong political leaning to the right, but I am just a bit right of center. And I really like Wait Wait. Especially with it coming on right after Car Talk.

I have never heard of Chuck Norris before but have just spent an hour reading through his facts and laughing a lot, so much that my mother has started giving me funny looks. Thanks for the link.

Someone posted this in one of my other groups and I thought it was a hoot, so I am passing it along: Hope you enjoy it as much as I did

Well i will say, it was original. It had my attention to the end.

The urbandictionary site is mostly junk, but sometimes you find a gem:

Urban Word of the Day

January 30, 2008: Electile Dysfunction

The inability to become aroused over any of the choices for President put forth by either party during an election year.

"Is anyone appealing to you in this years presidential race?"
"Naa... No one excites me. I think I'm suffering from Electile Dysfunction."

re #7 -- her website looks cool too, anybody read her books?

Fev 19, 2008, 4:38am

re #7 and #10: I have got no one belongs here more than you, but I haven't really gotten round to actually reading it - the first story didn't grab me, but I read the first page of the second one and I think I will like that. I liked her film a lot, though (Me and You and Everyone we Know). A "small" film, without big drama, but I thought it was funny and sad and and vulnerable and sweet and original.
She also one of the authors of - it's a site with slightly artsy assignments that are fun and make you think.

BTW, I use my refrigerator as a whiteboard too.

Hi,40 somethingers, I'm not new to LT, but just caught up and was able to check out this chat. As far as funny shows with a twist, I like "Curb Your Enthusiasm" I don't know if it's broadcast in other countries, but Larry David is a hoot as that obnoxious guy who exemplifies all the worst in a person. Yet, he sometimes manages to be, dare I say it, endearing?
