Don't mind about the Super Blue Blood Moon! It may happen at any time!

The question is: What are you reading now?

I've finished Les Beaux Étés - Tome 2 - La Calanque. How refreshing is a comic only about family, hapiness and summer vacations! It brings you all happy memories from your childhood or eventual plans for a happy family!
Jordi Lafebre's art is gorgeous!

Finally picked up Saga Volume 8, and hoping to finish off the last two volumes of The Unwritten. And, although not itself a comic, I've got Hillary Chute's nonfiction Why Comics? From Underground to Everywhere out from the library.

I've read Pixu: The Mark of Evil which tell us the story of haunted house through the events that happen with four persons that live in it. Each story is told by an artist (Gabriel Bá, Fábio Moon, Becky Cloonan and Vasilis Lolos), starting isolated and then entertwining themselves.
IMHO the sequence by Bá and Moon were better. Cloonan and Lollos' were weak and sometimes presents poor storytelling.

>4 apokoliptian: That doesn't surprise me, Bá and Moon are really excellent artists/storytellers, I've loved everything of theirs I've read. I think their being brothers working well together probably helps boost their creative output. :)

>5 .Monkey.:
I agree. Their work (story and art) blends very well!
Have you read Two Brothers? It is a great adaptation of a great book!

Finished Le gout du Chlore, which shows a story staged in a club, inside the swimming pool. The colors, the camera angles and the way the passage of time is represented are almost hypnotic, making you reread book a lot of times.
Highly recommended.

Just finished Morning Glories Vol. 1 and it was fine but not great. I don't think I'll read more of the series.

I've finished Coldest City which was adapted for the silver screen as Atomic Blonde. It is a spy thriller ambiented in 1989's Berlin, with a story told mostly in flashback, like The Usual Suspects.

I think that the story has some plot holes that upset me, which maybe they fixed in the film (I have not seen it yet). I liked Sam Hart's art, which is in B&W and reminded me of the early works of Brian Stelfreeze and Chris Bachalo.

Continuing the boarding school gone wrong theme with Deadly Class, Vol. 1.

>11 Euryale:
You can try Battle Royale and Finals to broaden the theme.

For those who bought Fourth World Omnibus (or intend to do it), the first printing has come with a page misprint. Newsarama has published that DC will do recall of these books.

>12 apokoliptian: I might see if the library has the Battle Royale manga; great idea! I liked the movie version.

In the meantime, I'm taking a break from theme to read Red Hood and the Outlaws: Dark Trinity for my comics book club.

I enjoyed it, and ended up reading World of Wakanda afterwards
