Just wondering how many 501 students are following this Group at the moment. :) If you are, post the work in your library which is most commonly shared and least commonly shared with others here. I'll start off: Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West and De Inventione De Optimo Genere Oratorum Topica (Loeb classical library).

Hi, Jerry! I've been a LibraryThing user for almost a year now but I only joined the GSLIS group this fall.

My most shared book is The Catcher in the Rye. I have seventeen books in my library that are only shared with one other user. They are mostly writing and computer programming books, but there are also a handful of needlepoint books and a couple of fitness books in there. The odd one out, subjectwise, seems to be Marijuana Law by Richard Glen Boire.

Hi Jerry!

I've been on LibraryThing since the summer and joined the GSLIS group as soon as I heard about it on the BBs.

Not many of my books are shared with GSLISers. My most shared book is The Time Traveler's Wife. My least shared is a 502 book - Free Culture by Lawrence Lessig.

I'm in 501 and I've been using LT for about a year now. However, I've been using it to keep track of the books I've been *reading*, but I don't own most of them. I'll be purchasing an account soon to keep track of mmy personal library. I can't afford many other procrastination tools until Winter Break, though. Most commonly shared book: The Historian, least shared Pads for pets, Kindred spirit, kindred care, weekend makeover, and saving the big cats. So, does that mean that few people read those books, or few people own those books? Those are all one I borrowed from Urbana Free, after all. Cool.

I'm in 501 and brand new to LibraryThing - well, I tried it a year ago but didn't build up a catalog when I discovered that it *only* allows for books and trying to add, say, a music collection won't work. My books come and go. My CDs have been with me for years.

Once I do start adding to the collection, it looks like my most shared book will probably be the Svenonious text. As for the least shared... I'll take a stab and say my German edition of Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats.

I found the group in the course of doing the current assignment...but have not entered enough books yet to know which are most/least shared. I suspect the answer will be Harry Potter books and a children's book called This Old House which only one other user owned. Or possibly my Old English textbook from undergrad days way back when...I'd be surprised if anyone had that one!

We'll see...must now go and complete assignment.
