Professor Lois S. Gray, specialist in labor relations, died September 20 at the age of 94. She wrote Under the Stars: Essays on Labor Relations in Arts and Entertainment.

Philanthropist Jane Fortune "Indiana Jane" fought for recognition for female Renaissance painters. She died September 23 at the age of 76. Her books include Invisible Women. Forgotten Artists of Florence and Chaplin and Costa. Rediscovering Expat Women Painters in Tuscany.

Evelyn Anthony prolific writer of romantic novels died September 25th 2018 aged 92. In 1994 she became the first female High Sheriff of Essex causing some debate as regards a suitable ceremonial uniform and whether she should carry a sword.

Former U.S. House Counsel David P. Schippers died September 28 at the age of 88. He wrote Sellout: The Inside Story of President Clinton's Impeachment .

Head of the non-profit Africare, C. Payne Lucas died September 15 at the age of 89. He wrote Keeping Kennedy's Promise: The Peace Corps' Moment of Truth.

Children's book illustrator Vladimir Radunsky died September 12 at the age of 64. His books include What Does Peace Feel Like?, Where the Giant Sleeps and Hip Hop Dog.

Isabel Quigly died September 14th 2018 aged 91. As well as writing she also worked as a film critic and translator from Spanish, Italian, and French. Among her own books was The Heirs of Tom Brown: the English School Story .

Polish Resistance fighter and Holocaust survivor Sonia Shainwald Orbuch died September 30 at the age of 93. Her autobiography was called Here, There Are no Sarahs.
