First, welcome to the group! A little bit about me - my name is Jennifer (or Jen, with one "n") and I've been doing these 100 book challenges since 2010 (or so LT tells me). I'm a medical writer living in Chicago, and because I work remote (no commute!), I have a lot of time for reading. Despite the fact that I am paid to write for a living, my grammar on this site is usually pretty bad - apologies in advance! In books, my tastes run to literary fiction, police procedurals, nonfiction (especially history and politics), and short stories. This year I'm hoping to make a significant dent in the 1001 Books to Read Before You Die list and read a lot of Inspector Rebus novels.

Thanks for setting up the group, Jen. :)

I'm Tania, I've been in this challenge since 2009 (!!!), but fell off in 2017 due to a house move necessitating a different commute (not enough reading time) and work exploding, and never got my act into gear at all in 2018. (And, if I'm being honest, I should also blame some smart phone games that are far too addictive.) The office has moved, I'm now sitting on a train for a good 90 minutes a day (yay! reading time!) so am hoping to get back up to 100+ books.

I do read a lot of sci-fi/fantasy (who wants to read about real life??), and very little non-fiction (ditto), but also enjoy crime and romance and literary fiction and the back of cereal boxes.

Hi, I'm Roni, living in San Diego with my husband, a small dog, and way too many cats! I'm retired for 8 years now and still loving it. I spend my time reading, gardening, pottering around (no, really, I'm an amateur potter) with various crafts--I post the pictures of finished products on my thread.

I've been a member of LT for 11 years and of this group for 9. I read primarily science fiction and fantasy, but also at least a dozen nonfiction books a year and assorted mysteries and romances and children's books.

My thread is here: https://www.librarything.com/topic/301629

I'm Meredith, I live in Charleston, West Virginia (USA), with my tubby tabby cat. This will be my 9th year in 100 Books, which was my first home on LT. I can't believe it's been that long. I'm disabled and don't work, so my time is mostly spent reading, crafting, and playing silly games.

I read a little of most genres but with a slight emphasis on non-fiction usually. All bets are off lately though, as I've been clinging to comfort re-reads for dear life.

Pam, another retired teacher. Chemistry. I appreciate having the leisure to read books that require patience and concentration. Not that everything I read is of enormous literary merit, of course!

I'm in Australia, in Melbourne. Pronounced Melb'n.

I am Lynette and I am from Hobart, the capital of Tasmania (Australia).

I was a library technician but am now on a disability pension due to ill health. I am often housebound which means I can get through quite a few books, especially audiobooks.

My favourite genres are science fiction, mysteries and magic realism.
