From the MIT Obituary: "Patrick Winston, a beloved professor and computer scientist at MIT, died on July 19 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 76." He authored several books, including books on LISP and AI. He was listed here on LT as Patrick Henry Winston.

Bryan Magee, philosopher, died July 26th 2019 aged 89. He wrote a good number of books but the only one I've read is a memoir Confessions of a Philosopher which was very readable.
