Here are some stats from the past few years, beginning in 2014, when I first started tracking how many new books I buy. The first number is how many books I bought that year, and the second is how many of those titles are still waiting TBR.
2014: 54 --> 4
2015: 69 --> 12
2016: 53 --> 6
2017: 54 --> 23
2018: 101 --> 53
2019: 125 --> 100
My total TBR for the years 2014, '15, '16, and '17 combined is only 45. That's still a lot, but it shows I have read a LOT of ROOTs! So I've decided to try and cull at least half of my ROOTs for 2020 from the years prior to 2018. I'd like to keep whittling down those older years...
So, here's where I'll keep track of the "even older ROOTs" :).

2019: 125 --> 100

As usual, I have downloaded far too many books this year, but at least I finally completed my sub-ROOT-goal of reading 12 books I'd acquired prior to 2018! Looks like most of them came from the 2017 list. Maybe next year I will manage to clear off 2014 - 17 completely?!? That would be pretty cool.
