Can you be a LibraryThing Author if you have articles in one or more anthologies (fiction or non-fiction), but not a sole-authored published book?

Sure. I just added you as a contributing author to the book, to create an author page:
https://www.librarything.com/author/keithkevint
Click on the box at the top right where it asks "Is this you?"

Yes, you can be listed as a Contributor on the works where you hold that role, when you catalog them to your LibraryThing account. There are various author roles you can assign on LibraryThing, and you don't need to be the primary or sole author of a work to be listed as an author. I hope this helps.
(You may also want to take a look at our page on How Authors Can Use LibraryThing (https://www.librarything.com/about/authors) to get started. It includes a few other helpful tips.)

I tried to hit the "Is This You" button for author Lee Kull in the Tritely Challenged Volume 2 anthology, but it errored every time. Can you help me claim my author account?

>6 SDaisy: There are two steps when listing contributors/additional authors/other roles inside of a book:
1. Add them in your book (which you did)
2. Confirm them in the "Other authors" section on the work page (you usually need to use Recalculate from members' books in the popup window to bring them in from the book level. That puts the work on the author page.
I did the second for your name - see if that helps.
