Alt-right Troll Faces Charges: Assault, Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal Trespassing
Right wing nutjob, Tim Gionet, aka "Baked Alaska," arrested for macing Scottsdale bouncer with pepper spray. Gionet is a well known provocateur with authority issues. You may have seen his picture from the Charlottsville pro neo-Nazi demonstration, where he is crouched, face dripping milk, having been pepper sprayed by police, or he may be familiar from having been banned from most social media for hate speech. His verbal habits tend toward gruesome and brutal violence.

His verbal habits tend toward gruesome and brutal violence.
He's tweeted about sending Jewish people to gas chambers, hung out with neo-Nazi blogger Andrew Anglin, chanted the white supremacist slogan "You will not replace us!" at the Charlottesville torchlight rally, and joked about groping a 13 year old.No longer a resident of AK, he now resides in AZ. His fondness for negative attention moved with him. He actually asked for it outside a local bar in his new hometown, Phoenix.
"You're just in here trying to antagonize people," a bouncer says.
After a back-and-forth in which Gionet refuses to leave the edge of the property line at the bar's entrance, the bouncer yells at him and then shoves him. Gionet stumbles backward about six feet on the sidewalk.
As his companions yell at the bouncer, Gionet pulls out a pouch containing a pepper spray capsule. He removes it, takes a step towards the bouncer and blasts him in the face from around five feet way.
After getting hit, the man turns his back. When he tries to turn again, Gionet blasts him a second time.
Seemingly unfazed, the bouncer informs Gionet he has committed "chemical assault," while his colleague calls the police.

Michigan electors to receive armed guard for Monday vote
Pro-Trump protestors are expected at Monday's Electoral College vote
Caitlin McFall | Dec 11, 2020
A police escort has been offered to Michigan’s 16 electors Monday, as they head to the capitol in Lansing to submit their vote for the Electoral College and confirm Joe Biden as the next president of the United States, reported The New York Times Friday.
But protesters from Stop the Steal -- an activist movement encompassing President Trump supporters who firmly believe, despite a lack of evidence, that the election was robbed from Trump due to widespread fraud -- will be at the capitol to protest the vote.
...Stop the Steal announced that they will be stationed outside Michigan's state capitol building Monday, where officials will be completing their vote for the presidency, along with every other state in the U.S.
...(last week) Democratic State Rep. Cynthia Johnson grew visibly angry as (Giuilani) hearings carried on for over three hours, asking why the “witnesses” were not under oath...later received threatening messages, which she posted to her social media – several of which contained racial and misogynistic slurs.
She responded by taking to social media and warning “Trumpers” in a video to “walk lightly.”
...In response to her video message, senior GOP state leadership removed her from her committee assignments, saying it was unacceptable for a state legislator to give a message of warning to any party – though they did not outwardly condemn the threatening messages Johnson had received.

"Confederacy of Dunces"
The measure of a man is how he takes losses; take a look at how the manly men secessionist wannabes are holding up on right wing nut twitterverse, Parler.
They're a blood-thirsty lot who think Don the Con is a hero for bilking them out of their money to pay off his Russian loans, courtesy Putin. Their road to "victory" is wiped off the map, so they want to wipe most of America off the map because of their deluded belief that it was impossible for Biden to defeat Trump. A bunch of small time hoods who won't accept an election they can't steal is ripe for open warfare.
For some reason they think the military is on their side, when polls repeatedly showed Biden with the lead among enlisted and officers. Must be the disgruntled ex-military in their ranks who are feeding the "troops" with old data from '16.
As easy as it is to mock this element of the electorate, believe them when they say they want to go to war with America. Deluded people are dangerous people; they're inclined to believe bullets can't kill them, and that their bullets are guided by god.
Anyway,

Anyway,
In related news, where have all the QAnon gone? Vice found that even the most extreme right-wingers are starting to abandon Parler because there are no liberals, Democrats and progressives there to argue with; the site has lots of pornography, including child pornography; and fraudsters have been able to imitate right-wing leaders and make fraudulent verified accounts for them.

Note to Earthling---echo chamber ='s what you get when everyone is more than less in agreement and bouncing the same old same old off the walls in their own little exclusive made just for them world and that's pretty much what parler is for right wingers.
The idea that Biden has won has hit conservatives like a baseball bat smacking a hornet's nest. Within the hive they are scrambling and getting in each others way to get out the little entrance/exit hole first and attack anything within range that's not them. There's really no sense to it other than 'we have to protect the hive' and Donald Trump right now serves as their queen. Everything else going on in their collective minds is just blind rage.

#7--LOL! Laughing my ass off looking at that. Of course not everything they're talking about there is a bad idea.
My main concern really is the lack of masks and social distancing and all the shouting going on. The problem with nitwits sharing a deadly virus is they're going to share it with others and then it's going to be up to the overwhelmed hospitals and the overworked doctors and nurses to save at least some of their sorry asses.

Tempers flared at a “Get Out the Vote” rally in Stockbridge on Saturday morning when a passerby attacked a man holding campaign signs supporting the Democrats.
. . .a group supporting the Democratic candidates stood along Hudson Bridge Road near I-75 with political signs encouraging voters to take part in next month’s runoff elections.
“A passerby stopped and confronted a supporter with physical aggression,” Henry County police Capt. Randy Lee said in an emailed statement. “The supporter suffered wounds to his face and head.”
Witnesses at the scene told the news station the suspect punched the man before grabbing his campaign signs and ripping them up. He was not identified, but was arrested and charged with battery.
The violence was later condemned by both Ossoff and his opponent, Republican Sen. David Perdue.

#12---A quick check of My Life--and there are 3 Kathleen Casillo's in the entirety of New York State--there are two Kathleen Casillo's living out on Long Island. A 52 year old (bingo!) and a 68 year old. One of them is a real estate agent for Coldwell Bank. Long Island is full of rich people. I don't recall anything in the article about her being released on bail--just released and this is criminal assault on several people. It's a function of our society that if you move in certain strata privileges are available to you that are not available to the larger population and race figures a lot into how this works---which is much of the point of the Black Lives Matter movement in the first place.

Multiple people stabbed after thousands gather for pro-Trump demonstrations in Washington
Emily Davies, Rachel Weiner, Clarence Williams, Marissa J. Lang and Jessica Contrera | Dec. 12, 2020
...at night, the scene became violent. At least four people were stabbed near Harry’s Bar at 11th and F streets NW, a gathering point for the Proud Boys, a male-chauvinist organization with ties to white nationalism.
The victims were hospitalized and suffered possibly life-threatening injuries, D.C. fire spokesman Doug Buchanan said. It was not immediately clear with which groups the attackers or the injured might have been affiliated.
The violence escalated after an evening of faceoffs with counterprotesters that took place near Harry’s, Black Lives Matter Plaza, Franklin Square, and other spots around downtown.
..In helmets and bulletproof vests, Proud Boys marched through downtown in militarylike rows, shouting “move out” and “1776!” They became increasingly angry as they wove through streets and alleys, only to find police continuously blocking their course with lines of bikes.
...Again and again, officers swarmed, pulling the instigators apart, firing chemical irritants and forming lines between the sides...
Each time a fight was de-escalated, another soon began in a different part of town.
D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham...said smaller segments of people who splintered from larger gatherings seemed “intent on conflict.”
D.C. police said that as of 9 p.m., 23 people were arrested Saturday, including 10 who were charged with misdemeanor assaults, six with assaulting police officers and four with rioting. Police said one person had an illegal Taser.
Two officers were hospitalized with moderate injuries suffered during clashes at 16th and K streets NW...

She said she will continue to protest as long as the president and vice president believe she should. “If President Trump accepts it and Vice President Pence accepts it, then we will accept it...But right now, this is a Godly protest.”
...podcaster David Harris Jr. riled the crowd by suggesting that if there were a civil war, “we’re the ones with all the guns,” he said.
...For part of the evening, officers formed intermittent blockades at the perimeter of Black Lives Matter Plaza, essentially penning in counterprotesters while (maskless) Trump supporters were free to roam.
...D.C. residents have expressed concern that the influx of maskless protesters puts the entire city at risk, especially workers in restaurants and hotels....

Michigan closes legislative buildings due to ‘credible threats of violence’ ahead of electoral college vote
Teo Armus | Dec. 14, 2020
In April, maskless protesters armed with assault rifles crowded inside the Michigan Capitol, screaming at police and rallying against stay-at-home orders. Months later, federal law enforcement agents unearthed an alleged plot by several of those demonstrators to storm the building and kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D).
Now, “credible threats of violence” ahead of the state’s electoral college vote Monday — a pivotal step in cementing the swing state’s votes for President-elect Joe Biden — have forced Michigan’s top lawmakers to close all legislative offices in Lansing.
Gideon D’Assandro, a spokesperson for state House Speaker Lee Chatfield (R), confirmed on Sunday to The Washington Post that Michigan House and Senate leadership consulted with the state police regarding the threats. #20--if any real violence does happen you know that Donald is going to say 'it wasn't me. I had nothing to do with it'. He's the not responsible one.
It reminds in a sense of the Rev. Ian Paisley who had a history of inciting protestant mobs to riot in Northern Ireland that very much pre-dated the troubles. Whenever someone in the UDA or UVF ended up in prison he'd throw them under the bus. He didn't know them even those of whom attended his church. Eventually those paramilitaries gleaned on to what a hypocrite he was and eventually those paramilitaries in prison started talking to those on the other side and all that going on in the prisons became a big impetus to the peace that was finally agreed to.......and you know who didn't like that? The Rev. Ian Paisley. All these people that he for decades had been throwing under the bus became sellouts.
This is Trump in a nutshell. Some asshole like Rittenhouse that he's incited goes out and kills two and injures another--he doesn't care. He really won't care if Rittenhouse spends the rest of his life in prison either. Trump has only ever been in this for himself.

Michigan GOP lawmaker loses committee posts after not ruling out violence during Electoral College vote
Dan Mangan | Mon, Dec 14
..State Rep. Gary Eisen, who last year tweeted a photo of a semi-automatic handgun and ammunition after Michigan’s governor proposed a gas tax, did not threaten to commit violence during the radio interview that led to his disciplining by the Michigan House speaker
But Eisen twice hinted that violence could occur related to a “Hail Mary” effort by him and other GOP lawmakers to block the Electoral College’s electors selection of Biden, a Democrat, over President Donald Trump, a Republican.
His interviewer on WPHM-AM said he was “concerned about violence today in Lansing,” given Eisen’s vague description of what Republicans planned to do.
The interviewer then asked Eisen, “Can you assure me that this is going to be a safe day in Lansing, nobody’s going to get hurt?”
The lawmaker paused and then said, “No.”
“I don’t know, because what we’re doing today is uncharted, it hasn’t been done, and it’s not me doing it, it’s the Michigan House, it’s the Michigan party ... I’m just here to witness,” said Eisen, who represents St. Clair Township.
Eisen later issued a statement saying he regretted “the confusion over my comments,” and said he wanted to attend the event he was talking about “to help prevent violence, not promote it.”
But House Speaker Lee Chatfield, a Republican, said: “We as elected officials must be clear that violence has no place in our democratic process. We must be held to a higher standard...Because of that, Rep. Eisen has been removed from his committee assignments for the rest of the term”...

#24--they've been played for months. Donald was out front several months prior attacking mail in ballots and the Post Office. He's always has these unfounded narratives---about illegal voters, dead voters, voting machines. Inasmuch as he attacks the media all the time he does have media outlets who support his lies and his followers are glued to them. Personally though I think MSNBC is almost as bad as Fox but Newsmax, OANN, Breitbart etc. really have no news standards--as much as MSNBC and Fox are propaganda making entities these others pushing Trump's narratives have taken all that to whole different levels. We have the dark web as well as the Q-anon crazies as well as the 2nd amendment militia groups as well as the flat out white supremacist groups. Add all of that together and we have a lot of crazy people and they have facebook, twitter, dark web sites to tape loop loads of nonsense continually and the tech giants have been reluctant to deal with it all. The customer's always right (even when he's wrong).

Fired Houston Police Captain Accused of Violent Attempt to Prove Election Conspiracy Was Hired by GOP Activist's Group
The accused had been fired in 2003 after a controversial raid at a Houston Kmart parking lot. At the time of his arrest he was an employee of right wing nut Steve Hotze's Liberty Center for God and Country. Hotze is a Trump advocate and advocate of killing people exercising their First Amendment rights.

At the time of his arrest he was an employee of right wing nut Steve Hotze's Liberty Center for God and Country. Hotze is a Trump advocate and advocate of killing people exercising their First Amendment rights.
Mark Aguirre is accused of running a man off the road and threatening him at gunpoint. The ex-cop was hired as a private investigator by a group whose CEO is GOP activist Steven Hotze.
Mark Aguirre was working on behalf of a powerful Republican megadonor’s group to investigate unsubstantiated claims of widespread voter fraud when, in October, he allegedly pulled a gun on a man described by the Harris County district attorney’s office as an “innocent and ordinary” air conditioner repairman.
(SNIP)
Prosecutors say Aguirre’s election fraud claims were baseless and that he was paid $266,400 by the group Liberty Center for God and Country, whose CEO is prominent Texas right-wing activist Steven Hotze.
Jared Woodfill, a spokesperson and attorney for Hotze, confirmed that the Liberty Center hired a company led by Aguirre to investigate voter fraud ahead of the 2020 election.
(SNIP)
Hotze is an active GOP donor and is one of the most prolific culture warriors on the right. He’s a fierce opponent of same-sex marriage and was a key figure in the unsuccessful push for the 2017 “bathroom bill” in the Texas Legislature. This summer, he infamously left a voicemail for Abbott’s chief of staff telling him to shoot and kill people protesting the in-custody death of George Floyd.
(SNIP)
While working on behalf of Hotze’s group, which has been attempting to find evidence for the GOP’s allegations of election fraud, Aguirre surveilled the air conditioner technician for four days with the help of at least two other unidentified people before the Oct. 19 incident. He later told authorities that he believed the technician was behind a huge voter fraud scheme in the Houston area, according to an affidavit by the Houston police officer who responded to the incident. Aguirre told police that he believed the technician to be transporting fake ballots in his vehicle and to have as many as 750,000 in his possession.
“There were no ballots in the truck,” according to a Harris County district attorney’s office press release. “It was filled with air conditioning parts and tools.”
(SNIP)
Aguirre ran his black SUV into the back of the technician’s truck to get the man to stop and get out, according to a court document describing probable cause for the charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He pointed a handgun at the technician and forced him to the ground, according to the affidavit. One of the other people Aguirre was with allegedly stole the technician’s vehicle after searching it; police later found the abandoned truck a few blocks away.
(SNIP)
Aguirre was arrested by Houston police Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

#26--does not surprise me. I started at the Post Office in 1986 at the MPC (Mail Processing Center) and back then there were about 160 clerks--about 60 to 70 mailhandlers---about 80 mail carriers--a dozen supervisors and about 25 maintenance workers and however many they had in the motor pool. More and more automation led to more and more job attrition and by the time I'd retired in 2013 there were 9 clerks--2 mailhandlers--7 or 8 maintenance people about 5 supervisors and about 50 mail carriers and no motor pool. The smaller and medium sized MPC's were reclassified and almost all the sorting was done in the larger MPC's--ours being done in Rochester two hours away.
Back in 1986 the Post Office had the man power to do this all manually by hand. For the last 25 years or so they've absolutely depended on those machines that DeJoy took away--that were destroyed or left out in the rain all so Donald could try to fuck up the election.
Keep also in mind that if you're sorting a city's mail by hand it takes quite a lot of training and then sometimes years to get up to speed. The clerk looks at the street address and that tells him or her which carrier it goes to and the more carriers--the more streets the more complicated and the memorization involved--doing a 40,000 population city like I did for a good half of my postal work life takes a lot of memorization (there are hundreds of streets--some of them broken up to different carriers) if you're going to sort it with any speed and over the christmas holidays even with all the machines working---there's still a lot that flows to the manual people and you need to be able to sort 40 or so letters/cards a minute. If they can get someone to that point of acting instantaneously with few if any mistakes they are golden. You can act like a complete asshole like I often did and nobody is going to look twice at you--they're going to stay out of your way. I don't think there are very many of those left anymore though.

>29 lriley: Clerks no longer learn schemes, essentially. They point a handheld scanner at a barcoded parcel and it will tell them which carrier gets it. It also means that the parcel's journey is recorded at that point. However, it slows down the process of throwing the parcels because the scanners can't match a good scheme throwing clerk. They still need to be able to throw non-barcoded letters correctly, but fewer and fewer people know how to do it.
31lriley
#30--at least back to when I left several years ago--sometimes the manual mail that came our way was because the bar code was bad. For people who were struggling then there were large boards to look it up on. If you had to do that all the time you weren't going to accomplish very much.
Were you Postal? First couple times I put up the scheme I did it on an LSM. You almost couldn't help getting good at it doing it that way.

>31 lriley: Yes, I worked for USPS for almost 40 years as a clerk. LSM, Registered Mail, Transit Mail Expeditor, Window Clerk, Nixie Clerk, etc. I learned 12 city schemes and two sets of Prime A (for two different cities).
In other words, I had a variety of experiences in various offices. I worked at three different retail stations with carriers, three different sized Processing and Distribution Centers (also called Sectional Central Facilities when I first started), and worked some very specialized jobs.

#32--I had a lot of things I did too. City and outgoing LSM, Flatsorter, had the registry job for a while, the express job for a while, I worked with bulk mail doing plant loads, had the relief transportation job, relief ODIS too, did a bit of window clerking and a bit of automation, Tour 3 expediter for a brief time. Some of this is out of order and I'm missing a couple things. Put up the scheme 6 or 7 times. When you're around for a while and there's attrition going on around you a bit you end up doing a lot of different things.

Stewart Rhodes, pro-Trump leader of the anti-government extremist group Oath Keepers, posted an open letter to President Donald Trump Monday urging Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act against “domestic traitors,” order “trusted military units” to “seize all databases of the CIA, FBI, NSA, DNI, etc and the records held by all state electoral systems and administrators,” and declassify evidence of treason by “corrupt and compromised elites” who he claimed had worked with the Chinese government to subvert the election.

#35--Mr. Rhodes is just a little bit too impressed with himself. 25,000 or 25,000+ members or not he just doesn't look like anyone I would ever want to follow anywhere. It seems to me he takes for granted that all law enforcement and all active duty and ex members of the military think exactly like he does......which is to say all his self importance is delusional and FWIW push comes to shove I'd bet that a good % of his 25,000 is soft. It seems to me Mr. Rhodes is living in some fantasy land.
If Trump were to try to do what he suggests and fails which I'm pretty sure will happen he will be a dead man. He will have led an armed insurrection against the citizens of his own country which is treason.

In one post, according to records from the Police Board, Catanzara wrote: “Wtf its (sic) seriously time to kill these motherf———,” though it was not clear who Catanzara was referring to. Reached Thursday night, Catanzara said the comment was made in reference to people who have killed police officers.Of course, Castanza like all other racists righties immediately began whining and making himself the aggrieved party in the usual white male grievance fashion.
In another post, Catanzara suggested someone perform a sex act on him, and in another he referred to a superior officer in the CPD as “spineless.”
“There is no level of fairness that would even be attached to any of this,” Catanzara said when reached Thursday night.Typical deplorable who loves being deplorable in front of his white racist buds but pouts when he's caught being an asshole. Yeah he's the asshole who did this:
. . .the outspoken and controversial union leader has remained at odds with Mayor Lori Lightfoot, often criticizing her for her response to crime and going as far as penning a letter to President Donald Trump pleading for federal help with the city’s gun violence.Time to purge police departments of these thugs and start screening new hires for decent human being status in order to qualify for any police service.

'Get a rope!' Armed Extremists Clash with Cops: Try to Overrun Oregon State Capitol
The incident occurred during a so-called "Stop the Steal" rally outside the Capitol building that was taking place as Oregon lawmakers held a special legislative session to consider measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It's an incredible narrative of right wing madness and police timidity when an all-white, male, armed, and armored crowd is on the other side of the glass door. As Jedeed notes -- if it had been a BLM or Anti-fa protest, it would have been a MUCH UGLIER scene with the obligate cop brutality incidents against an unarmed and far more peaceful crowd.

#39--I like this Laura Jedeed. You know the police are a lot more restrained when it comes to putting these people in their place. Many of them will sneak back home tonight because these are same people who live in their own neighborhoods. People they chit chat with all the time but also own all kinds of firearms---all legal of course. Beating up on those on the other side black, brown or kids dressed in black is easy. They can be heroes doing that. Upholding the law against their own respected in the community they live in next door neighbor is a whole different kettle of fish and there's no way to play the hero with that. Some of them must to sick to their stomach right now and it's got nothing to do with the mace.

Interesting, I notice that not one of the 'conservatives' in this group has tackled this particular bit of violence against either people or property which occurred in Salem, OR, yesterday.
Probably doesn't fit in with the conservative narrative that only 'leftists' are out there destroying property and attacking people.

Trump-loving Ex-cop Charged with Gun Threat against Black Man Who Stared at His Racist Shirt
James Stachowiak, of Augusta, GA was charged with disorderly conduct in a Dec. 9 confrontation at a grocery store, where a Black man who was shopping with his mother said he saw Stachowiak wearing a shirt that read "Patriots Against Black Lives Matter." Hope he has to appear in court where the judge will tell him, "If you don't want someone to read your shirt, don't wear one with words on it, idiot!"
