Found: Can someone PLEASE help me find the title of this book?

Hey everyone. I read a book that my grandma gave me 10 years ago and it was the last gift she ever gave me.. Unfortunately I had a fire in my house and lost that book 9 years ago. I forgot the title of it and it's really important to me. I cannot find this book anywhere it's like it doesn't exist.. If someone can help me out that would be amazing. I'm a little fuzzy on the description of the book since I only read it once 9 years ago.. but I remember a couple things.

The book is about a girl who moves to her dads in a small town. She had a troubled past back where she was living before, if I remember correctly the first chapter is her running in the woods crying in the rain.
This book is mainly about her meeting a man who has MS and they end up falling in love.

I know this description is awful and you can probably see now why I'm struggling so hard to find it. It was an amazing book and the very first one I ever read. If anyone can help me I will be so very thankful!

Is this a romance novel? Is the girl a teen or an adult?

Is it maybe Lovely, Dark and Deep by Amy McNamara?
