Introduction

Hullo all, I'm pleased to find this group. I read about 2/3 non-fiction and 1/3 fiction, which is good for my day job - I'm the adult non-fiction librarian at my local public library. I'm interested in the history, biography, literary studies, religion, folklore, music, film, visual art, theatre, languages, natural science, politics, philosophy, and classic and historical fiction of England, Éire, and Scandinavia. I recently finished Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story by Bono (★★★★☆) and How to Live Like a Monk: Medieval Wisdom for Modern Life by Danièle Cybulskie (★★★★★). More about me on my profile. I am your mirror image, usually reading about 1/3 nonfiction and 2/3 fiction every year. For non-fiction, I like biographies, history, learning about how the brain functions. For fiction, I like Canadian literature and literary fiction. I'm not much of a genre reader.
