The Final Quarter! Wow.
For those of you who are new (or just have as bad a memory as I do), I'm Amanda, a mom of two (AJ 9, E 7) who works from home as an accountant in the Seattle area. I listen to books as I work, mostly non-fiction, romance, science fiction, fantasy, and a little mystery. I'm a huge fan of my local libraries, especially the reciprocal borrowing arrangement that gives me access to 11 library cards.
I was born and raised on Vancouver Island, BC, before moving to the US Midwest in my early twenties. We moved back to the PNW at the beginning of 2022, and I am so glad to be back. I do my best to get the kids up to see my family (my parents still live in the house we moved into when I was 6 months old) at least once a month. And my in-laws come to visit us or the kids visit them regularly (either from/in the Midwest or the Southwest, depending on the season).
I also quilt, knit, spin, and other assorted crafting. I am a datageek, so all sorts of weird facts and graphs will pop-up from time to time.
I will also be tracking here a handful of challenges. AlphaKit and Bingo from the Category Challenges group, and Pick Your Poison. I also, rather ambitiously, chose to try and read 5 books from 7 of the Goodreads Choice Awards list from last year.

Notes: As for I Fell In Love With Hope, not only is it not in any library system I have access to, it is not available as eBook or bookBook from Amazon. I will do my best to check back on it later in the year to see if that changes.
I don't think I'll be able to read all of these, but I would like to try to read more than 25%.

Triple-Duty Bodyguards by Lily Gold

I read this expecting Spicy Fluff, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The characters were well-developed and believable. The plot made actual sense (which is always the case in some of the books I read). I will be picking up more books by this author.

The story wasn't bad, but I skimmed the spices scenes. While the consent was handled well, I'm finding I really don't like anything that comes off as demeaning dirty talk.

I blame it on the library system(s) here that gives me access to so many digital audiobooks. There are so many I want to read! (Please don't ask how many I have out right now, it's rather embarrassing.)

To be fair, I have 30 children's picture books and 54 graphic novels/comics. So that does pump up the numbers. I'm at 217 for Adult/YA/Midgrade. Or, to put it another way, nearly 2,000 hours (again, to be fair, that's the raw time, not the time I listened to them, as I have my player set to 2.25-3 depending on the narrator).

The Gargoyle's Captive by Katee Robert
A Deal with a Demon Book 3

This series keeps getting better, at least for me. There are so few books with a hetero couple that have strong men take the submissive role in bedroom play that doesn't evoke "I need a mommie to look after me" or "my role as a fem dom is to look after all of my masc subs needs without thinking about mine" vibes. At least I haven't come across them. If you know of any, please let me know.

The Monsters Ball Book 2

Over the last couple of weeks, my eReader has been getting more use. Mostly, these are books that are from Kindle Unlimited that don't have an audio version. This one deserves one, or if not this book, which is rather short, then a collection of the books in this series.

Yes, I am aware I have 57 active series. No, I don't see it getting better.
I don't think this is a new thing. I just never tracked it like this before. My next big question is: Do I carry it over to next year or start fresh? I guess I have 3 months to figure it out (as I don't have to make a decision until the end of January).

I need to update the list of series I'm tracking. I don't have quite as many as you, but I think I'm missing several that I need to add to the list.
