I thought I'd create a place where we can list Atwood titles we are willing to pass on/give away or we could list titles we would like.

Listing books: A brief description with condition would be good. Are you willing to send overseas? within No. America? Only within your country (and what country is that?). You can ask for the book here but any addresses should be posted privately to the giver.

Wanting books: Looking for a copy of an Atwood book? Just a reading copy or something else? Hardcover or paper? Be sure to mention what country you are in as some people may not be able to afford the shipping outside their own country. Again, other than user name and country, don't post addresses on the thread.

Since I'm always willing to promote one of my favorite authors, I'm willing to give away her books to do so:-) I'm also keeping an eye out at library sales for her older titles.

From the library sale I went to today:

The Robber Bride, paperback, Virago (UK publisher), 2001, very good condition!

Cat's Eye, paperback, Virago (UK publisher), 2001, also very good condition!

May I request one?

Edited because I somehow entered/submitted when I meant to enter/line-break

I think Cat's Eye would be wonderful!

Wow, you guys are quick. #3 I have your address, #4 maybe yours also (will check). Probably will send it out early next week.

There's another big library sale next weekend. If you are trolling the sales for Atwoods here in the states, her early novels came out also as mass market paperbacks and, of course, there are the newer reprints in trade paperback (these are trade paperbacks, btw).

I hope readers list their 'wants' here also.

Thank you, avaland! Why don't you list some wants? That way, I can look for a way to return the gift. :)

Well, I have almost every Atwood (missing a few poetry collections, me thinks), although I would like to replace my old mass market editions of The Edible Woman and Life Before Man with hardcovers at some point. But this is not something LTers should worry about:-)

I see a fair amount of Alias Grace and Blind Assassin hardcovers (either regular ones or Book-of-the-Month Club editions at library sales if someone is in need. Also Cat's Eye and The Robber Bride occasionally. However, I don't normally go for hardcovers unless I know someone wants one.

From today's library sale:

*Very good trade paperback copy of Oryx and Crake
*Good reading copy, mass market size of The Handmaid's Tale. Cover has a few creases as does the spine but the inside is clean and unmarked
*Good+ copy, mass market size of The Robber Bride. Spine has some creases but it's otherwise in great shape.

If you're interested, respond here but post your address in a private message on my profile page.

I've put the copies listed in message #8 in my BM inventory.

Found a mass market copy of Wilderness Tips today at the library sale if anyone would like it. There's a few creases in the spine but otherwise it is a decent copy for bag, purse or plane.
