I love to write letters (the old way), read and discuss my readings. If you love to write letters and love to discuss the books you are reading with others, contact me and I would love to initiate a book discussion penpal. I read a wide variety from Political Philosophy (Marcuse, and the like) to Fantasy and History. Contact me via Librarything or email and we can set something up.

Hello,
We letter writers are a dying breed. I still write letters by hand. I have an 82 yearold grandmother who writes letters. I think we are the only two in the family that still uses paper and ink. She got her first computer when she was 71. I thought she would love email, she does but she still writes. I am trying to get my 22 year-old daughter to write letters. She is away wit hher husband, but no. She texts and emails....*sigh*....so I would like to join this group. Maybe to discover how others continue to keep writing...why..how...
:)

Lori,

I would def. like to offer to people here in this forum to contact one another to write and discuss their reading. I am looking (currently) for a few book correspondance "pals"....and my email is located on my profile. If you are intrested please go ahead and email me for my home address. I agree, letter writing has become a lost artform. I have trouble finding people who keep writing back. I grew up writing to my elderly family members and LOVE to keep in touch the old fashioned way, there is NOTHING like getting the smell and tangible paper to hold, read, and enjoy! It helps slow things down!

Cheers and good letter writing,

zeke
