I see that I can have a book cover as the group pic here, larger than we can normally have book covers, and that seems like a good opportunity, so perhaps I should rotate the cover on a regular basis (and I don't mean show the Norvik shoes ad that's on the back of my Ariel!) Do you think that's a good idea? And if so, how often?

yes, good idea, as a major part of the appeal of penguins to me is the cover designs - but no harm in showing the Norvik shoes ad - though it might confuse some! It's part of the history!
Every week or so, depending on how busy or preoccupied you are with other matters? I take it you are the only one who can do this?

I think so, yeah - i'll do it weekly, it won't take long, I've got all the ones I scanned in on photobucket!

The current cover is The Taste of Too Much - a book I read when younger than the protagonist and gave me a sense of how boring and drab my own life was. Can't remember much about it now and I am sure part of the story was that his life was boring and drab - but there was some sense of promise to it - at least in comparison with mine as I experienced it. Early 80s adolescence, who would want it. I should re-read that book, 25 years on, and now living in Scotland - I am sure I would have a different response.

Looking forward to the next cover.

interesting that you've read it - I picked it because it was one of the ones that only I have on librarything!
