Thought this might be a good place to mention the stage adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere that just started previews over at Lifeline Theatre.

There was a really good article about it in the Metromix section of the RedEye the other day too:

I'm not sure when I'm going, but there's no way I'm going to miss it!!!

Ooh thanks for mentioning it.

I was the dramaturg for this production and even though I am probably biased I have been watching rehearsals and previews and it is pretty amazing. I would recommend getting tickets early if you want to see it because they already have shows selling out. Also there are previews next Friday and Saturday that are cheaper ticket prices, but those have been selling out too.

Yes!! So glad you reminded us! By hook or by crook we'll be going. I'm so glad Lifeline is doing this.

I am going tonight! I am so excited. Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite authors, and I LOVE Neverwhere.

I did! It was different from the book, but I think I read the book long enough ago that it didn't impede my enjoyment. The rats were really fun, and the scene with the Beast was, too. They did really well in using such a small space for the play! I highly recommend it.

Good to hear. Can't wait to see it! We're still trying to figure out when.

We thought it was great! Went with my wife, 24 year old daughter, 20 year old son, and his girlfriend, and we all loved it. Very cleverly done, as usual with this theater group. We thought the actors playing Richard Mayhew (who also is the one who adapted this) and the Count were particularly strong, but they all were good. Remarkable what they can do in that relatively small space.

Because of their success, it's been extended.

We sure did, marensr. You all did a great job in putting it together. It must have been a lot of fun, along with hard work.
