I really enjoyed this book. It's the story of Charles and Emma Darwin's courtship and marriage. Charles was a very logical, rational man who fell in love with a very religious woman. I really liked the fact that it demonstrated the struggle Charles had reconciling his theories and religion. There was a lot of information about Charles' method and theories, great descriptions of life in the 1800s, and it did a great job showing the conflict between religion and science. I skimmed this book in the spring and really enjoyed it and after talking with several teachers about it's potential classroom use - I decided to read it more thoroughly. I can see using this book with a science or social studies class.
