Het wereldculturencentrum Zuiderpershuis biedt als kunstencentrum een permanent podium aan artiesten uit de hele wereld. De culturele uitwisseling Zuid-Noord-Zuid en de artistieke communicatie tussen verschillende gemeenschappen en culturen staan centraal.
Van september tot juni kan men rekenen op een brede, kwalitatieve, niet-commerciële artistieke programmatie. Het aanbod van muziek, dans, theater, literatuur, expo en residentieprojecten is actueel, hedendaags, traditioneel, rootsy en al wat er tussen ligt...
Het gebouwencomplex Zuiderpershuis is een gerestaureerd industrieel-archeologisch monument uit de negentiende eeuw. Het werd in 1883 door Ernest Dieltjens ontworpen in de geest van de "Vlaamse Renaissance” en was één van de acht pershuizen die energie produceerden voor de haven. Van een lokale hydraulische centrale voor de haven, werd het omgevormd tot een internationale, culturele krachtcentrale voor de mensen en een foyer waar het aangenaam vertoeven is.

An international art center
The Center for World Cultures Zuiderpershuis is an art center, which presents artists from all over the world. Our goal is to contribute to the artistic communication between different cultures and communities and to benefit the cultural exchange South-North-South.
From september until june one can experience a large, qualitative, nonprofit artistic programme. The selection of music, dance, theatre, literature, expo and projects in residence is current, contemporary, traditional, rootsy and everything in between.
The block of buildings Zuiderpershuis is a renovated industrial archeological monument dating from the nineteenth century. It was designed by Ernest Dieltjens in 1883 in the spirit of the Flemish renaissance and was one of the port's eight energy-producing. The building transformed from being a local thermal power station to an energetic and international art center with a pleasant foyer.

Un centre d'art international
Le Centre des Cultures du Monde est un centre d'art qui accueille des artistes du monde entier. Notre but est de contribuer à la communication artistique entre les cultures et entre les communautés et d'encourager l"échange culturel sud-nord-sud.
De septembre à juin nous vous proposons un programme artistique varié, qualitatif et non lucratif. Le choix de musique, théâtre, danse, littérature, expositions et projets de résidence que nous vous proposons, est actuel, contemporain, traditionnel et ethnique en même temps.
Le complexe Zuiderpershuis est un monument rénové et un bel exemple d’archéologie industrielle qui date du dix-neuvième siècle. Ernest Dieltjens dessina les plans du bâtiment en 1883, dans le style de la Renaissance flamande. Ce fut une des huit centrales hydrauliques qui produisaient de l’énergie pour le port d’Anvers. Plus tard, la centrale hydraulique locale fut transformée en centre d’art international avec un foyer agréable.
