Descrição:: One of two book sales run by Save the Children each year in Perth. Runs from 17 Aug (5pm) until 22 Aug. Be warned that the queue at 5pm on 17 Aug can be a kilometer long and there is a limit on the number allowed in the hall at any one time. Fresh books are added to the tables each day, and the early mornings are much less stressful and children-friendly. Special bargains are available on the last two days. Traditionally includes sheet music, records and rare books, as well as reasonably priced used books. Food and drinks on sale for the Thursday queue-ers, and a diagram of the table layout is posted in the window near the entrance. Once you have your place in the queue, and introduced yourself to your neighbors, it is normally acceptable to leave and return. Empty boxes are available near the door to allow you to gather in your harvest. Cash and EFTPOS acceptable in years past.
