- George C. Marshall's Dodona Manor is located at 312 East Market Street in Leesburg, Virginia. General and Mrs. Marshall purchased this 200-year-old home in 1941 and used it as their haven away from Marshall's positions as Army Chief of Staff, Secretary of State, President of the Red Cross, and Secretary of Defense.
A National Historic Landmark, the property is open to the public for tours on the hour and half hour on Saturdays from 10:00am to 3:30pm and Sundays from 1:00 to 3:30pm. The last tour begins at 3:30 pm. There is a fee for admission. For further information call 703-777-1301. - Adicionado Por
