The Wildest Brother is about a boy, Ben who boldly protects his sister from harm all day. He protects her from the wardrobe monster, the kitchen slime, even burglars. But when its time for bed, and the sun sets, he jumps in his sisters bed so she can protect him. He is happy to have a big strong sister. ( ) This book is about a young energetic boy, Ben, who has an extraordinary imagination. Constantly fighting monsters and protecting his sister. His wonderful older sister helps supports his imagination by playing the role of his monster or victim in these visions. When bedtime comes though the tables turn and he then needs her protection from his own imagination which she willingly provides. I am an older sister by 6 and 8 years. So i myself have held on to my own imagination longer than others to interact with my younger sisters'. There have been many times that i acted just as Ben's sister does. Remembering these times while reading this book helped bring nothing but smiles to my own face. Classroom extensions -Have students draw and cut out a form of their sibling or cousin or pet for those with no siblings. Then have them write on the figure what makes their sibling special and important to them. - Have students create a paint blob/ marking then have them use their "imagination" to create a character out of that blob and write a short story about it. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
