The wife's absence haunts the letters, which are often tales of Daniel's daily rituals. Niitä kirjoja joiden kanssa ei meinaa päästä alkuun. Kieli on sen verran polveilevaa ja "runollista", tapahtumat unenomaisia välähdyksiä... suosittelen lukemaan nopeassa tahdissa yhteen menoon. Ainakin itselläni tuntui toimivan, kun pistin lukemiseen vähän vauhtia ja urakkavaihteen päälle, loppua kohden tykkäsin jo kovastikin. Silti jos kysyisit mitä kirjassa tapahtui, niin sormi menisi suuhun. En kauheasti tykkää tuollaisesta taiteellisesta sekoilusta (kuten minä sitä nimitän), mutta tunnustan että kirjailija on taitava.
