Once upon a time, there were three bears and a little girl named Goldilocks. This young retelling pairs the classic story with current and appealing art while remaining true to the original tale's lesson of teaching self-control...and more importantly, never falling asleep in a bear's house! With a lift-the-flap on every spread, this 8x8 with cardstock pages is engaging and interactive. Readers will love peeking under the flaps to discover the before-and-after effects of Goldilock's mishaps! Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |

This is a classic tale about a little girl who wonders through the woods and finds the home of the three bears. The little girl goes inside and tries out their food, their chairs, and their beds. She decides that papa bears oatmeal is too hot, mama's is too cold and the baby bear's is just right so she eats it all. Then she test out the chairs, papa's is too hard, mama's is too soft, but the baby bear's chair is just right and she sits and rocks until she breaks it. She then moves to their beds and decides that the papa's is too hard, mama's is too soft, and the baby bear's bed is just right so she climbs in and falls asleep. The three bears return home from their walk to discover that someone has been in there home eating their food, sitting in their chair, and sleeping in their beds and they discover goldilocks still sleeping in baby bear's bed. Goldilocks awakens and is so surprised by the bears looking at her she jumps up and runs all the way back home.
Personal reaction to the book:
I thought this was a cute version to the classic story. This book has great illustrations and has flaps included for children to discover parts of the story as it's read. Great book!
Extensions:
1. I could use this book to teach younger kids about belongings and respecting others things and spaces.
2. I could use this book to teach kids the importance of not running off and staying where you are supposed to.
3. I could use this book to teach children about safety and after reading the book we could discuss what could or might have happened next. ( )
